Computer?

Ok people, I am wondering; after making a mod such as CAI, header, cat back or any bolt on, are you supposed to disconnect the battery for a bit and reconnect, or does the ecu know automatically after the mod and adjusts for it? Clue me in will you please? Thanks. Cheers.

You don't need to but people do it cause it forces the computer to "Re-Learn". I honestly don't know how effective it is but this is a "tradition" that people usually follow.
