yet *another* intake mod - CAI

ok, so it's not so much a mod as it was somebody running a red light... and then me not being able to stop in time. but it's a CAI now.

Thankfully nobody was hurt and they had insurance. I hit the side of their bumper so my car looks way worse than theirs did - the very end of their bumper acted like a battering ram digging through my front end...(Theirs was a 95 cavalier)

Still sucks though - I've kept the car in great shape for the whole month since i'd driven it off the lot.

Yeah, i have the bumper duct taped on now because it's been raining for a few days and water going directly into my intake (which of course points upward) doesn't sound like a good plan

here's a nice pic of behind the bumper. doesn't look too bad and the airbags didn't go off, so i hope there's not too much damaged in there.

Well if your insureance covers it there is no way your going to get a ss/sc front, but if you pay for it thhat would be the way to go, or atleast thats what i would do

well i got it fixed, it took about a month and a half, they actually had to replace every panel but the roof, trunk and passenger side rear quarter lol. I wanted the ss/sc front but they wouldn't do it. Something about insurance. They even put my stock exhaust back on because mine got bent. And when they finally took it in for alignment they noticed the rear end was screwed up. Lucky they found it after all the body work or i wouldn't have a cobalt The cobalt is actually a very safe car. I walked away from that thank god.

Good as new

Sad when this crap happens to anybody at all, I hydroplaned in to a median, $4,500 damages, bent the rear axle
But not to get too off topic, the G5 axle and rear spoiler are now on my car, so there are some more interchangeable parts/"MODS" lol, for the G5 and LT/LS models
