just curious to see what everyone out there thinks about putting a high rise spoiler on an ls. i have the low pro spoiler on right now but i really like the high rise and am thinkin about putting one on my car. just wanted some second opinions on if i should do it or not.

 

imo it doesnt flow with the front and rear bumper really. but thats just my 2 cents. unless you have the lip kit it wont look as good as the ss/sc

 

if u gunna get the wing, the front and back bumpers are a must i think it looks uglly with just the high wing

its ugly enough on the S/C (but it does fit more the wing has attitude like the rest of the car---too bad its an ugly attiude )--far worse on an LS.

 

its a bad idea, but it looks bad ass on the ss/sc. I wouldnt have gotten the car WITHOUT it. gives the car a great profile, and an attitude.

high rise wings on LS's make me shake my head in disgust...it just doesnt flow with the 4x4 truck gaps in your wheel well and the lack of body kit.

but i think you ruined your car, you over-personalized it if thats what you were going for. you def got a little bit to excited on the ricer aisle in advanced auto parts...

The back end of the LS's look so high already. The high rise spoiler just makes it look even worse. If your car is stock, then don't get it. It may look nice if you have it lowered or have a different bumper (such as SS/SC bumper), but, if you don't have either, don't get it.

 

i don't like it for 2 reasons, especially on the 2.2

1) it doesn't flow AT ALL. may as well get the terminator wing.
2) it flops around at highway speed.
3) It doesnt' flow

 

I have a 2.2L LS and I agree, don't put it on there. Putting the SS/SC wing on their, to me, screams one thing. Poser. You put the wing on there, it draws attention and makes others think you're an ss, when you're really not (though I don't care if other people are misinformed).

The 2.2L's sit up WAAAAAAAAAAAY too high, even with the 15-16 inch rims/steelies. If you were lwoered, had nice rims, and a lip kit, then it would look better, but still, if it were up to me, I'd say the wing only belongs on the ss/sc, and in some instances the ss 2.4L.

And to coby driver. Your car looks clean, I just, personally, do not like the front emblem, or the large amount of sticker sin the quarter windows. The neons don't look bad, and I like your headlights, they're sick. Just the SS/SC wing doesn't flow right. Perhaps the RKsport wing would look better with it. Just my .02 cents, but it doesn't look that bad. Perhaps get the GM lip kit and get some rims for her, and she'd look a little better.

 

like other people are saying i think u need the side skirts...if it doesnt have them, and then the ss/sc front bumper w/lip and either the 2.4 ss or 2.0 ss/sc rear bumper

then your car will really look hot with the wing.

right now im getting a ss/sc lip painted for my car and then i will be putting that on soon.. and eventually buying a CF high rise wing

 

cobydriver, i am a big boy and i can make my own decisions. ill put my two cents in on ur car though, why did u spend all that money on making ur car look unique, but u kept those stock hubbies on??? those shoulda been the first thing u changed. but overall i think its great that u do stuff to ur car how u want and dont care what other ppl think. i however, want ppl to think my car looks good.

i just started modding my car (performance wise, cuz whats the point of making ur car look fast if its not???), and because of that, i just started goin out to different car meets in my area. i dont wanna show up to a car meet and have ppl saying "dude what a poser" i think it was for the best that i asked ppls opinions on this high rise wing swap cuz as it turns out, ppl aren't to fond of the look on the 2.2 overall. yea the wing looks good, but i gotta agree with everyone who says it just doesnt flow well with the car unless u have a kit put on it.

 

well, its great if u want other ppl to think ur car looks good.. but make sure you like it too lol.

and if someone calls you a poser then tell them to **** off. none of that should be going around.. for those that dont have the ss/sc im sure if they could afford to get one they would have. like myself.

 

2 weeks ago some guy hit my car.... i broughtit to a body shop and there like aawww man its gunna cost like 3 grang to fix cuz he took off the mirror and stuff.. plus my buddy woks there so yeah.. actalluy nothing really wrong witht the whole side of the car except the pic that your seeing and a broken off miror. so basically they all no i need rims so the said insted of doing it for 3 grand they would do it for like a thousand and so i can have the extra money to get some rims and system.. so yeah im getting rims, and hey my car looks kinda ricy. big deal. i like it

 

i dont think its possible for a cobalt itself to look ricey. the only reason ppl might say ur car looks ricey is cuz u've got all those stickers on the side windows and the streetglow sticker on the windshield. but like u said, as long as u like it, thats all that really matters, ur the one driving it. and plus one rep point for the chick holding the sign.

I say keep the low pro spoiler on your LS. I have an LT, and I think that the high pro spoilers look best on the ss and ss/sc. IMO. But it's your car, so do what you want.

 

The high rise would look good on an LS provided he had a lip kit and lowered it, but basically it's like this. If you want it, get it. It's your money, your car. You might as well enjoy it while you own it. And to LP, rice is more of an attitude than it is the look of a car. If he's riding around, revving his engine at every car that passes including old people in Camrys, then yeah, he's a ricer. But if he just wants to put some stuff on his car to set it apart from the rest, then who cares? Life is too short for all that BS.
