Just bought one of the last 07 SS.

I just got a rally yellow 07 Cobalt SS, Supercharged, with the lsd. I also put on konig unknows. 18 inch, power slot, front and rear slotted rotors, ceramix brake pads, eibach front and rear sway bars, eibach sportline springs, dc strut bar, GM headers, GM caback exuast, GM stage 2 kit. As far as other mods go, im going to be doing a 10 thousand dollar system, including nav and dvd players. what else should i mod? any ideas? I had a 07 supercharged scion tc that i traded for the ss, its much faster than the tc! and handles alot better.

Thats a lot of mods, especially since you just got it, but take teh Unknowns off, they are ugly rims IMO. Congratulations, enjoy it, some people would kill for a ss/sc. Welcome to

P.S. Eibach Front and Rear Sway bars? I had always been told they they don't actually have those for us, though they advertise them.

doesnt the cobalt come with front slotted brakes?

and dont take it the wrong way, but anyone who puts a $10,000 stereo system into a $20000 car needs to think it out again.

That statement is what makes me tend to think the OP is bs'ing.

I would have to agree with that statement. Turning the SS/SC into a show car hm? Hope you have a good security system.

That caught my eye, and it also seems kind of weird, who does all these mods right away when they get it. Unless you have money pouring out of your rear end.

The unknowns are cool rims. good choice. Lots of people have them, maybe that's why someone said they hated them.

A $10,000 system? Now that's retarded, but if you plan to make a REAL show car out of it, then i guess it's worth it. Otherwise you can just say that the stage 2 only HELPED make up for the HP/WEIGHT difference.

I don't think too many cobalt owners are going to be impressed with a stereo system of that caliber. Now, throw 10,000 at paint, custom interior and engine work, and you may have one sexy ride. F^CK the stereo and dvd players!

Yea, i just love music, and i love it loud! I actually just bought the Cobalt like 2 weeks ago. It sat in the shop at chevy this past week, because i put the stage 2 kit on, and right after i got it back, the engine light came on and was causing the new fuel injectors to run way too much gas into the engine. . come to find out they used the stage 2 program for the 06 on my 07. the 06 and the 07 use different computers, the 06 is 16 bit and the 07 is 32 bit. so they had to wait for gm to make a update and download it into my computer. just glad to have it back. I dont think i wanna go show, just wanna customize it to how i like it.. :O) pics ill post soon, im new to all this!

Yeah, well welcome man. I like music too, but the stock sound system is amazing. Putting 10K into just the sound system, will jsut get your car stolen faster.

So what about your other mods that everyone else commented on?

Wow....you must be slightly deaf or something, lol. The stock system is so loud, and it has a subwoofer in the back. I can't even hear my friend talk when he is in his! And what about the eibach sway bars. And how do you have all this money?!!!

The img code (bottom three of the choice). We want pics of all of your mods. sway bars, springs, rims, stage 2, everythign. ANd as someone else said, spend the 10K on other things. you'd have a pretty sick cobalt.

Neon green?! Dude, don't do it. Perhaps run around these boards for a little while and see what you do and don't like. If you want to put 10K into it right away, you may end up doing something you don't like. You can keep it the color it came with and do a mess load of stuff to it.

Also, curiously, if you had an extra 10K, you didn't want another car that costs somewhere in the 30K range?
