there are no chips....however there is a program called hptuners that allows you to tune it it to a certain point...but you need a laptop to do that

I read on one of these sites that GMPP may release a performance tune but that is all speculation I think.

yeah i looked there is some type of chip for cars but its universal. i wouldnt buy it it only gains like 5hp and its stupid. find hptuners and a laptop for cheap. then buy mods. or actually your best bet is to just buy the mods and do it the right way. have it dyno tuned.

Vector Motorsports has a nice canned tune. You ship them your ECM, then tune it, and overnight it back to you. check it out at www.vectormotorsports.com. They offer a tune for both the '06 2.4SS and '07 2.4SS models, since they are slightly different. Its likely the route i'll go since im having too much trouble finding someone to tune HP Tuners for me around here.........and believe me.........i've been VERY patient, and i've been promised this and that........and nothing yet as far as HP Tuners tuning goes.

The 07 LE5's have a differnt OS then the 06 LE5's. I have to use the Beta version of 2.1.19 to tune my 07 becuase there are flaw in the 2.1.18 version. As I have said before, go to whoever has HPT and have them request for the Beta version so they can tune it. But be warned the HPT software has a very hard learning curve to use. So if you do it your self, read alot.

no no no, I never said there WASN'T tuning for a 2.4SS. I just said finding someone with the willingness and the knowhow to tune a 2.4SS is tough, at least where I live, and supposedly you need a "fix" for the '07's to use HP Tuners, whereas the '06 you just hook it up and go at it.

But I officially gave up on HP Tuners. Theres a guy on here w/ just an intake and the Vector tune pushing 168whp, so that was all I needed to read to make my decision and drop the HP Tuners idea. Yes I know that HP Tuners can do more for the car in the long run, but the Vector tune is plenty good enough for what im after.
