I've seen a bunch of posts about it, a bunch of people said they're going, so why not all meet up and hang out? will be nice to put a face to the name. if you're going, post up and i'll add you to the list. Put the day and time your'e going.

it's an event sponsored by chevy where you can drive all of their cars, and race cobalt ss's. if you do good enough in the timed competition, you step it up to race corvettes. winner drives home in an 08 vette.

you can also take a lap with a pro driver in a z06, as well as many other things.

i registered for saturday at 12.

there's other things to do as well, it's an all day thing. so i'm planning on going a little early, see what they have to do and whatnot. the racing part takes about 2 hours...

you race their cars. Originally the website said that the timed competition would be done with c6 vettes, and that's why i pre=registered a few months ago. now that i look at the website, it's changed and says that you start off with cobalt ss's, (2.4 auto) and the top qualifyers (didn't say how many) step up to the vettes. i'm kind disapointed since i really signed up to drive the c6, but it still should be a good day.

 

the track that this is being held at is working on a kick ass road course... it would be awesome if the event was held there, that would be fun as hell, could really open the cars up at least... but it's not looking like it will be finished in time and i didn't see any mention of it on the rev it up site.

I was going to go last year but ended up forgetting about it and never registering. Has anyone gone before, is it worth it? It sounds cool, but I know sometimes these things are more show then driving time. I went to a few Mercedes Benz (no idea how I got on their mailing list) driving events and they were very careful about what you did while in their cars, then again it was Benz not Chevy.

 

I'm going to register this week.

 

yea, that was probably a 70,000 car vs a 20,000 car.

it seems like there's a lot to do, and the way i figure it's only 25, so if it sucks big deal.

 

Ok me and Dave are registered for Saturday at 1pm but I'd like to get there around 9 or 10!! I never heard of this before....sounds like it's going to be REALLY fun!
