It depends on what you will use it for. If you want a good ECO friendly car go for the 2.4. If you want to go fast go with the SS/SC. You could alwas turbo the 2.4 if u want to go fast but I would go for the ss/sc and try to talk them down a bit.

2.4 is in it for the long haul...
SC will be discontinued soon(<--in theory) and then there will be little aftermarket support, but i think the 2.4 is going to be the golden child of the Cobalt race... plus white is HAWT!

I'd personally go for the sc just because I love the sunburst orange look on a sick car like the cobalt. plus sc will be discontinued which is all the more reason to have a rare color with a rare car, well not so rare car but ya.

the SC is not going to be RARE, its going to be a short-span production car... and at the rate we are breaking them there wont be any left in 10 yrs

You've got to consider the color too! While the sunburst orange looks cool, it might be a tad on the trendy side. White is classic and easy as hell to match if something happens to the paint.

Too bad about the SS/SC getting the plug pulled on it though...pretty wicked car. But like it was brought up, once turbo kits are available from the after market for the 2.4 SS, all sadness about the SS/SC being history will be gone.

Those kits exist already, just have to put them on the market. Cant wait to upgrade my 2.2 to a 2.4 after I get back from the desert. Want to throw a turbo on it ASAP.

I am aware that turbo kits exist, just not for the mass public as of today.

Get the SS/SC...you'll regret it if you get the 2.4.
