Hey Yall

I couldn't find the introductions page so this will have to do. Anyways i just wanted to say that im pretty excited bout pickin up a cobalt ss/sc tomarrow hopefully around 4pm just waiting for the finance manager to call me tomarrow and gimme the good news. The test drive was amazing so i can't wait to start dumping money under the hood. oh and by the way yall can call me chris or Big Mac ( a nick name i picked up in fire school and no not after the mcdonalds favorite sandwich). What kinda gas does the supercharged ss take i know that most sc cars take 93+ octane but i've read on several pages that it takes 87?!??! yalls input on that would be fantastic. Peace

Welcome..you'll love you new Cobalt for sure. Regarding your question about gas octane, the SS/SC can take, and run, on 87, but you will lose performance as the car compensates for the lower octane. I would recommend you only run 93 or 91, whichever is available to you.

Hey thanks looks like im gonna have alotta fun with the car. Its Victory Red and i got the red and black leather interior, sun roof, and the polished aluminum wheels. None of which i asked for its just the only 07 they could find for me in the area. so yeah definitly payin 25 for it, kinda scary but if the car is as good as i hear it'll be worth it. what are the maintance intervals on it and how much should i expect to shell out when i go in for schedualed service's?

oil changes if not done at the dealership will kill you unless you know someone who owns a shop and will do it for you. i know that off the top of my head for an ss/sc. but should be pretty cheap for maint. work, my mechanic told me in the long run the cobalt was one of the cheapest to fix in gms whole line up. and 25 seems a bit high unless ur talking bout after t.t.f

Ahh okay well oil changes are gonna be hella cheap for me, I still get my employee discount at advance so im not really worried about that. And yeah 25 includes t.t.f that and im buying it at Bob steel in cocoa fl. so if any of you have hurd bout that place you'll know why the price is a little higher there. but its the only one i could find so whatever.
