i am starting to hate that dammn cobalt.

well, since i bought the damn car, i am going to the dealer every two weeks, to say a quick helllo to the techs? NOT

first,

scrached my damnn recaro seats, they fixed it, they are looking like brand new one.\

2 - car died on me, limp mode ftw, they changed my crank shaft sensor

3 - my back bumper was loose on the driver bottom, didnt hit anything, the plastic pin under the bumper broke somewhere....they fixed it.

4 - got a check engine light. misfire.

5 - brang the car in for steering wheel knoking and making noise. they changed my steering column/shaft,

6 - went to see the tech again for rough idling / car shaking, they told me that is normal because our engine are not smooth, (bullshit)

i washed my car today, i notice that my driver door is not aligned corectly, and the bottom corner is rubing to my fender and chipping paint (i wash my car every week, only noticed that since i brough it in for the steering column work, THEY ****** BEND MY DOOR OR WHAT)

i also noticed that i got a wierd ticking sound coming from my engine. probably the ****** tbs for the timing chain tentionner,

i am starting to be ****** pissed off that damn car, problem after problem i have to go to the damn dealer

anyone having allll thoses damnn issue?

the things is, i dont beat my car at all, its my first damn car and i take care of it.

sorry i had to share my frustration.

enyway, i love the car, i dont trade the car for nothing else

i wanted the car since day one i saw it, AND I LOVE IT! but damnn its giving me an hard time.

yeah, i am from nb two, driving back home 4 5 time a years, all thoses problems make me nervous about the reliabily of my car, i dont need to get stock on the 20 with a damn brand new car.

ps. forgot to mention that i had the car in to fix my shifter emblem because it felt off the damnn shifter. lol whatever.

did you had a rought idle before you had your tentioned changed? mine is idleing rough, the car is shaking a lil bit. i dont know but it maybe the cause of that shaking,

I feel you man, I have been there. My freinds all think I am crazy for buying another one, but once you have one you dont want to get rid of it. They really are sick cars, but they can be troublesome for sure.

when you build a few hundred thousand cars, there's bound to be some screwy ones in there. it sucks you guys got stuck with them. i love the hell out of mine, and three of my family members/buddies love the hell out of theirs. they are good cars; dont judge them all by the lemons.

1. Bad cat, about 1700 miles, replaced
2. CEL before I modded anything..bad MAF sensor, replaced
3. cruise control fix...it was the sensor that tells the car the clutch is engaged (replaced). Turned out it wasn't my stupidity after all.
4. recall fix
5. Blown axle seal at 16000 miles...less than 24 hours before my wedding, replaced.
6. replaced tie rod/strut tower link 17000 miles

I keep my service guy's direct line in my cell phone, and he had my info pulled up before I even got to his desk this last time in there. Let's just way we're on a first name basis now.

misaligned after 1 week
sunroof major leaking after a month, didnt offer me a rental i had to drive around with it
fabric on door handles lifted up, ordered me wrong parts
sunroof bezel falls off, got my information wrong, never called me said they couldnt find my car when i called..ugh.//
trunk misaligned
CEL from faulty gas cap
sunroof bezel fell off 3 weeks ago, they checked it out, and i called 2 weeks later cuz they never called back and they didnt order **** for me.

im currently in the process of writing the dealership owner a nice letter. i guess i cant expet to get much out of this. i would LOVE for them to buy the car back, that would never happen but i mean at least they can order parts for me when they are supposed to.

i guess its partly the cobalt and partly the dealer that i hate.

I would love to trade this car in but i will take a pretty bad hit

I absolutely agree wtih that. I drive the hell out of the 2.4 and it works awesomely.

The SC on the other hand, which my wife drives, seems to always have some minor stupid ass problem that goes away.

The steering column issue is one that is in all GM cars with the electronic steering junk.
