I was thinking on Polishing them instead of paint but it would be a lot of work.

But Silver might be my best bet.
If thats the case id probably go with the paint code silver on my balt now.

Bump!

I would like to paint mine also, but cant decide on whether to try to find another gunmetal code or go with silver.

Would sanding them with like 1000 let the new paint and clearcoat stick? or is more work really involved?

why did you even come into this thread, We silver SS owners are looking for suggestions on wheel colors OTHER than black, read the first post and delete the pictures of your car from this thread b.c they dont help us.

So you mean my 3k+ posts are ignorant? I only post negative **** when i see it, Suprisingly you may see me giving some good advice or compliments once and a while. This site is now infested with 16 and 17 year olds blowing up their cars and telling people that a 2.8 pulley is going to blow thier **** up, along with regular cobalts that are butt ass ugly trying to make their car look like an SS.

I've always painted my stock rims black on all my cars. I wanna do it to the Cobalt now.

I would try maybe a red close to the red interior. But don't do the entire rim that color. Do like the spokes red, and the rest a silver to match the car. *shrug* Or hell, do black spokes and red the rest. Maybe that helps ya out.

Colormatch them and maybe do a black inlay(basicallly round the edge of the wheel and the sides of the spokes

If not that then gun metal.

This is a nice color, looks like a darker gunmetal than our stock rims, not to mention a GREAT write up!

I have always thought bronze would look really good with silver . My Rota's are gunmetal , but it s more of bronze'ish tint gunmetal , than a true gunmetal . I like the contrast ALOT .

Here's the best pick I have to show the color of the wheels , to bad there covered in brake dust .

Black rims look like crap IMO
