WoW is no joke.

There is something very very disturbing about this game.
Ive played countless MMORPGS, none of them have ever given me any trouble at all, but this game nearly ruined my life/marriage.
ive said this before in other threads.....but im dead serious....its no joke.
Alot of people have no problem just playing casually, but beware....

did you listen to the clip?

WoW is designed in such a way that to truely be competitive, you must do certain things.
which begins you on a cycle that will eventually have you scheduling your life around gaming appointments, and eventually it starts to take your every spare minute.

I have pretty strong self control, I have been a gamer for years, and never had this problem before, or since, I quit smoking cold turkey with no help....Its not that im "weak willed"

this game is just very very addictive to certain people.

^^ thats very true.
my addiction to learning about cars and buying my new ss/sc was the thing that helped draw me away from warcrack.

LOL! I just got back into the game this past weekend. I found an old unscratched game card in my desk so I decided why not. Plus I wanted to see how the game looked on my new video card playing on my new HDTV. I was one of those who would schedule my life around in game activities. Never again. I'm just using up this game card then I'm probably out. (I hope!) Good luck with your adiction!

I got into WoW as a cheap form of entertainment (which it is), finally got out of it when I got my Blade CP R/C helicopter. Now its just not as interesting since I'm not putting 8+ hours a day into it, I know I wouldn't be competitive so its not interesting.

people who quit wow are like cave dwellers walkin back into the sunlight.
blinking and all disoriented.

then they look back and think what the **** was I doing.

There are very few people who have left wow who have many good things to say about it.
youll notice this on any OTHER mmo games you play, wow is like a dirty word.
for many people its an experience they are glad they are done with.

my friend keeps trying to get me to play it and i refuse because i know so many people who are addicted to the game. Im not the kind of person that would get addicted, the main reason i dont want to start is due to the monthly fee they charge to play it. I rather keep that money and put it into my car, fiance, or savings for a house. There are plenty of free online games that will keep me entertained while im bored.

lol WoW...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkCNJRfSZBU

Game addiction is a real problem though, regardless of the fact that recently doctors declared it wasn't.

If alcoholism is the equivalent of a little voice saying "hey, lets just have another couple beers", then game addiction is the same as saying "hey, lets just do the next quest, pass the next level, etc,".
