im from ft worth, TX, my work is gonna send me to omaha, nebraska in january and i will be there until the end of march or so. was wondering if there was some SS cobalts around that area. hit me up, im gonna be a lonely redneck in the middle of cornhusker territory.

I am in that area once and awhile, and was down there when i got a damn ticket from good old sarpy county....grr....not coming to a complete stop on a right turn on red and turning into the left lane instead of the right lane, at the kennedy freeway and capehart. Ended up getting a $117 ticket for that one....kinda sad..ne ways...

Yeah NEVER go to sarpy area and make a mistake they'll screw you hard core. no matter what you do you get targeted with a nice lookin car. Always been round this area, car's good I don't use it to race it's my commute back & forth to work, school, bars and that's about it. Lookin for good advice to start saving up for mods.

I'm around here too, tho I don't have a lot of free time, nor am I on here much anymore. Gotta love 83 hour work weeks. I live and work out in West O. I tried to organize some people for the Rush St. car show a while ago, but nothing came of it. Maybe with some more people, and god willing some better weather, we could do a get-together or cruise or something.

Wish I could actually work 83 hours but w/ school it makes it waaaay too difficult man. where you cruise at? we need to get more people from omaha seein this thread and get on ball. Umm, havent done a whole lot. I kinda did the airbox mod, just got the replacement k&n and ive left the bottom off, but crossed some wire along the bottom so the filter wouldn't possibly fall out. The only other big thing ive done is the custom mesh grill that there are a few how-tos on. I really love how that turned out and ill try to get some pics of that up soon. Took me a couple weeks to finish, since im going to school and working part time. Id be sweet to meet up w/ some of you guys. Let me know if anythings going on.

I do not know of this mysterious lady but since it is a girl it's even more of an incentive for you to want to race/meet up w/ her. I have only seen one blue ss/sc here by ralston area and it was a dude drivin it.

Hey guys, got a question for anyone that can help... I recently got hurt at work (Sept 8th, crushed my left foot with a forklift during training). I am going to be looking for a new job when all the bills get paid and cleared by work, any suggestions on where to go or who is hiring?

I have had expierence working at Bakers for 2.5 years, and then I loaded trucks for OTC, then transfered to power equipment where I worked for little over 5 months.

I drove the power jack for 3 months, drove a Stock Cherry Picker for a few months and my mind didn't adjust to the steering. On the stock cherry picker the steering is turn the wheel to the left, it goes left, but the forklift is all backwards. It was my second day on the machine, the day prior was almost all paperwork. So i was on the machine for a total of maybe 4 hours. My trainer was a total douche and walked off to talk with one of the new female new hires.

I was trying to catch back up to him and drove the forklift over a crack in the concrete... the machine started to bounce so I ment to scoot the machine to the left in order to get off the crack. Well I turned the wheel the wrong way and when I was expecting to go left, and the machine went right... I paniced. At the end of every isle of shevling is a cement endcap that protects you from ramming into the steel shelving unit and knocking the whole unit over. I was leaning back a little and was wearing a sweatshirt and when the machine hit the endcap I flew right out. Smacked my foot against the shelf, then the forklift bounced up and pinned my foot.

I understand what your saying, because I never thought I would ever hurt myself on the machine. I drove the other two machines without ever bumping into anything. While the other drives rammed into walls and endcaps and each other. Personally I blame the trainer for walking off on me, but I also blame myself.

If your interested... I have pictures of my left foot. Broke 4 bones and my foot folded in half, which tore the bottom of my foot wide open. It's gross, but hey... 8000lbs of pressure does damage.

Anyways... just purchased a set of H.I.Ds for my cobalt. Going to put them in the painted stockers. Where would you guys say to get your windows tinted? I went to the Tint Shop off 135th street with my Cavy and got 18% looked good, but poor quality.

well high-impact in bellevue used to be great but the guy who did the tint isint there anymore i dont believe, i think theres a place on40th and l possibly, but id check high impact, its good quality and who knows maybe the guy is still there, his name is tom just call and ask 672-8873

for all of my other cars i've had...and some of my family, we've gone to Metro Tint in between 84th & 90th right off of L st. They've done a good job in the past, but my experience w/ them was about 5 years ago.

So I snagged that so I can either paint it black or find some black vinyl to put on it.

I am going to use my tax return to either pick up a set of 18s and some springs... or wait for Gravana to release their new Cobalt kit. The one they posted about the G5 kit. I like the look of that a lot, almost a 350z or G35 look to it in my opinion.

Yeah were fine. Of course my parents are upset that I want to spend thanksgiving with her family (Much more personable then my family).

I'm debating on what to do now though with my headlights. I have an extra set and I really really want to give the retrofit a shot on actually making them H.I.Ds. I'm just afraid that I am not expierenced enough and would mess something up, and that project wouldn't be cheap.

Also I am still looking for a new job. I am finally done recovering from my foot injury and won't have a problem working.

After next weeks paycheck I am going to start my retro fit for my headlights. If I can't find a set of SS bumpers, I am going to run some HIDs for my fogs and just get the fog inserts.

It isn't going to be built to be a 12 second drag car, as I have my camaro for that, but I am not going to leave it stock. This is going to be my daily driver, so I want to keep somewhat good gas mileage, but I definitely will not leave it stock, there is no way any car of mine will ever stay stock. I will most likely take you up on your offer somewhere down the line.

just do intake header downpipe and exaust and it will help alot with gas mileage

While I have the lenses off I am going to sand it down and paint them all OEM black and clear coat them to match the car.

The GT badges sounds stupid, but I guess if you drove a pontiac Pursuit it would make more sense.

I used e46 Bixenon Projectors, Phillips 5000k D2S Bulbs, Denzo Slim Line Ballasts (Out of a Lexus IS 300), and then the wiring harness I am working on now.

I worked on it tonight a lot, and got the projector on the driver side remounted and aimed correctly. Burned through quite a few dremel bits though, so I will have to pick more of them up and shorter screws. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought 6" threaded steel. :)

I got the projectors and ballasts off ebay from a reputable seller, and the bulbs from hidplanet.com


I will have pictures posted as soon as I get the passenger side projector mounted.

Oh by the way, I did pick up my Orange Cobalt SS today. So I officially now own one.

You know if theres much difference between the Bosch E46 and the hella e55? size?

There has said to be a slight better light output out of the e55's, although I think you wouldn't know unless you tried both. It's still a HUGE improvement from stock.

Injury Update:
I was realized to go back to work on Thursday, however it hurts like hell. I was informed that I also am eligable for disability. Meaning a disability settlement might not be too far off.

Probably as soon as I get my rebates. Most of the mods are going to come in spring though. I am going to get the stage 2 and exhaust in spring at least.
