View Full Version : made a site for TSB's and Recalls

Howdy peeps. I put together a generic site that has almost all TSB's and Campaigns(recalls) for the 05-07 Balts. Sorry for the ads but these free sites just want to put them everywhere lol.

If some of the links don't work just post here and I'll try and get them fixed asap. If there's any other type of info like breakdowns and trouble trees I can post a quick link here like I did these.

Most of the clickable links in these will not work. These are just for viewing the bulletins and campaigns. Most or all the pictures should work and show up on them.

any and all comments welcome.

just dont pay no mind to the mess. :)

how come when I click on 05 Cobalt, then the TSB link, I get sent to the 06 CObalt TSBs? Or do 05's and 06's have the same ones?
Besides this, I think its a great site.

Hmm. :) Opps. The TSBs are correct I just have 06 typed in instead of 05.

Should be fixed now.

If anything else is messed up or looks odd, holla please and I'll fix it.

edit: most of the TSB's are the same for most year models. So a lot of them will look the same or show that you might of already visited that link. That's how GM had it on Dealerworld so I thought I would keep it as original as possible.

Is this all the TSB's for the 07's? The reason I am asking is my dealer told me the RPM jumping around on my car is normal, and that there is a TSB for it. I looked and saw one for the 06's but not for a 07. Also it does not say that this is normal, but lists a cure to the problem on the 06"s. I think they are lying to me because they really do not have a clue what is going on with my car and do not want to fix it. fr33k you work at a dealer in the parts department dont you? If you could give me any advice or anything would be apriciated, I have had nothing but problems with this dealers service department since day one. When GM did my buy back on the last car they told me I had to take it to this dealer to get my performance parts (Stage 2, GMPP exhaust) swaped over to the new car. Now my new car has this idle problem, I think they broke something. Anyway, that website is very helpfull fr33k, so +1 rep to ya man. Thanks

Which area are ya in when you try to click? I've copied and pasted the link from the 06 and TSB area of the site. It worked just fine for me.

hmm. Give me a day or 2 and I'll try.

i made a site for this already:

www.alldata.com

it has every TSB for every make.

This is for the guys that don't have the money to pay for the site or want to have to do an extensive search. The stuff is right there and it's all the TSB's available from Dealerworld.com. The only ones I left out is the warranty ones and some of the information ones. Those just give info like labor ops and info for the gmtraining.com stuff.

HViper, It should be ALL the TSB's available. If anyone finds one that I left out by accident, just let me know.

TSB: leaking A/C ring... it happend in my car...

I relooked at all the TSB's for the balts and there is not one for a leakign o-ring. There is one for incorrect amount of freon in the system. They might of just used the labor op for the leaking o-ring so they get paid more than they would by just adding freon. My dealership does that sometimes so they tech will get a dollar or 2 extra out of the deal.

This should be pinned. Very informative. I'm seeing some of those surface rust bumps on mine. Very weird.

yea, it's an informational bulletin. I posted the link in the general forums. If that's not the one your looking for, just post back and I'll try and look for it for ya.

is there honestly no recall or TSB on the engine gaskets? I've seen so many ecotecs with bad head and valve cover gaskets... mine being one of them.

its ridiculous, there is no reason this thing should leak like a sieve at 12K miles.

I thought there was one that called for the replacement of the wheels under warranty?

If something is a TSB... does that mean the dealership is supposed to fix it for free if I bring it in with that problem... I ask cause my warrenty is up

TSB's are just technical service bulletins. They are used by the techs to help find/fix common problems. The Campaigns/Recalls are the ones that is done for free. Most TSB's will have to be paid for by the customer.

Hope it helps.

any TSB on my oil dipstick popping up intermitently? I thought I read that once before

There should be, I didn't see it though. However, I didn't look too hard. The "Correction" was a revised lower intake manifold gasket. Try looking again and if it's not there, maybe fr33k can help...

I think this is the one your talking about. There's no real TSB on it. It's a preliminary information procedure ( the PIP in the document number).

All I ended up doing was a search for 'oil dipstick popping up' and got the info I needed. The wonders of search before asking.
