Thats the factory base coat, no painting done.

i just did this on my silver balt ss/sc. turned out awesome ill post pics when i get time. but they look good and i get lots of compliments. he had a good idea, and a good write up.

Used a citris type paint stripper from walmart was about $6 bucks, it took of the gunmetal paint. Then used steel wool pads for the lip and just sanded it off. Still have some more detailing to do to it and then clear it. Its just temporary till they get powdercoated.

there is hatrickstu's how to. Apparently there is a basecoat of black primer paint from the factory already on the rims. All brandon did was strip the stock gunmetal paint and then removed the black paint from the lip.

i wouldnt mine callin it that lol. you had and awesome idea. i like the way it looks when you rolling at like 20 mph in traffic. gets lots of attention.

They dont look great, but they dont look bad. Its about even for me, im not a fan of painted stock rims.

I didnt say they look bad man, they look alright, just not my style. You have to respect everyones opinion! They could definitely look worse.
