^^Pretty much. Just shop around for the best price.

And also, consider whether or not you want to get one that needs oil, or a dryflow.

There's always some argument over the GMPP intake not being a cold air intake -- it mainly sucks air from under the right headlight so it is a cold air intake IMO. It was designed by GM engineers for the Cobalt so I believe it is the best all-around intake. Not knocking the other makes, I just prefer parts designed by the original maker. I recommend you look at the GMPP intake -- check CED's price I think you'll find it is your best deal.

how often do you have to oil the filter? can you replace the filter with AEM dryflow on any intake?

GMPP filter is dry. Oiled filter is NOT recommended as it appears to affect the MAF sensor.

I only know about the GMPP -- as long as you don't have the Secondary Air Injection it goes right in with the instructions and you have everything you need. If you have SAI then you'll have to put a filter on the end of the SAI hose. SAI doesn't go by year it mainly goes by certain states, but some of the cars with SAI have been sold in states that don't require it (It's an emissions system).

I've read where others use the AEM dryflow filter but that's all -- I read it, haven't done it.

Injen is a good setup. You can make it a full cold air or a short ram (for winter) as it is a 2 peice design.
