new york
in the city there is a lot to do. The city in and of itself can take a whole day to go through.
There are tours of the empire state building, then you have all of the broadway shows, and off broadway, check out carmines to eat...family style italian resteraunt (foods excellent and feeds an army)... if youve never been there and care to visit, the site of the World Trade Center is someplace i always go..but for me its more personal since i lost a family member on 9-11.
St. Patricks cathedral is also really nice and a big tourist attraction.
Boat tour to Statue of Liberty
Rockefeller Center
Definately check out times square..there are a lot of good stores to go into over there
or you can just take a Big Apple tour...they will show you everything but are pricey.
Long island- All i am familiar with is out east. We have Montauk Point and Lighthouse
Dune Road in the Hamptons- lots of big houses and some beaches but i think they are all permit required.
Tanger outlet mall- tons of stores..plus i work there part time :-)
Vinyards-they have tours and tastings Near Riverhead , NY
Deer Park Avenue- Friday and saturday nights there are big meets in the parking lots out there, big street racing and car hang out.
Related is Bald Hill- Which also has car shows on Tuesday nights.
Hope this helped a little.
