Anyone in the LA, Orange County, San Diego area? We may not have our Cobalts yet, but I figured we could start meeting up with our current cars and start hanging. Just some thoughts.

Niiiice. VTEC?

Nah doesnt have the privelege, its a HX, economy model 115hp VTEC-E (E for economy) it has the vtec oxygen sensor, but not the Vtec head, basically the only difference between the HX and the EX. I have a few things on it, heres a pic from last year of it.

Very nice...and clean. I like. Are the heads interchangeable like the older honda engines? IE. Can you swap the VTEC (no E) heads onto your HX engine?

Personally I am getting bored of civics, mine has no power, they start with very little. I want a car with a good engine, and solid power, thats why I like the Cobalt/Persuit.

Sounds like solid logic to me. And already we're getting interest from certain companies, as you have seen in PSI-FI's post. Good times are ahead.

I'm new to the sport compact scene, my friend robbie got me into it, he bought a 2002 or 03 mazda protege speed edition, sick car, and it doesnt touch the cobalt, im so excited to get mine, i had it on order then i cancelled cuse i NEED the limited slip differential, so when that option gets unlocked im all over it, straight cash too, whats up money bags.

I think we should get a SoCal meet going one of these days, or at least a west coast, I think having a general "cobalt SS" meet will be too hard at the moment, plus ALL of us dont have our cars yet! For that you need a good location. I think meets should be more local until we get things figured out, but hey im all for a meet sometime in the nxt few months for SoCal or even just the west in general!? Any ideas?+

every thursday night in the woodland hills/ san fernando area there are car meets where hundreds of people get togethjer to show off there cars... i have been going for the last 3 weeks showing off my stock cobalt with upgraded sound system... if you live near the porter ranch best buy or near balboa and devonshire you should come check out these meets! i am almost always there show goes from about 9:30-3 a.m or untill po po's show up.

Ive been to teh Porter ranch meets alot actualy, they have some nice stuff their sometimes. Ive never seen another cobalt on thursday though. Saw a red one their a few days ago but it wasnt at the meet.

well there's usually a meet wed and sundays at Santa Fe springs at the in-n-out on the corner of telegraph and Carmenita. Usually begins bout 9 or 9:30. Then theres an SRT-4/EVO meet in Signal Hill Tuesday nights at the food4less parking lot on WIllow and cherry. And on fridays theres a meet at the cerritos town center by mimi's cafe. Also another in Burbank I believe at the best buy parking lot.

I'm also looking for someone with a cobalt that would let me take some meaurements and readings on the tail light of the car. Lemme know. thanks

We use to go up there we a big group but they put camera's up there and posted a cop at the top now. No one goes up there, unless they want a ticket. Everyone blows that stop sign at the top and they just hand tickets out like a buffet. It sucks that why we go down PCH now, never cops (knock on wood).

they all meet at ball and crescent in buena park at like 7 on tuesdays i think then cruise down there... not to many ss/sc's but a lot of very nice cars there
