Hey everybody, I'm sure it's obvious by my post count that I'm new to this particular forum. I've been a member of RLForums since the day I bought my RL. Due to the lack of RL's in this country (especially this part of it), it's kinda dull. So, I'm wondering how many people are from Texas, especially the San Antonio or Corpus Christi area??
And perhaps a centrally located meet sometime? I know I'm going to try to hit up San Antonio Raceway for a Wednesday night in a couple of weeks...

welcome to the forum, don't know if you've seen but we are gonna have a really good size gathering in Temple(north of Austin) Don't know if you would wanna meet up with us San Antonio guys, and head out with us.

Dragonsfire: No, I hadn't seen that. Let me know of the date(s) that y'all are planning on doing that, and I'd be more than willing to make my best effort to get up there.
wdsoccer: It's the RL in my sig. I don't think I've seen your CSS around town. I know I've seen a couple here. There's a yellow one at tamucc, a black one close to where I work (in Flour Bluff), also a red one that is a friend of mine. I've seen a few others here and there too. There's only 3 or 4 RL's in CC including mine though.

mines a 2.2 with the ss/sc body kit.
theres 1 red ss/sc at tamuk and a orange one close to me and a black one at wings and more. the one at wings and more has full exhaust, intake, stage II

Do any of y'all ever run the track at San Antonio Raceway? I've only been once since I got my RL. It's only $10 on Wednesday and Saturday nights (Wednesday nights are supposedly a lot less crowded; a friend of mine with a blown fox body goes a lot). $10 = all the runs you/your car can handle.

I think I'm going up the 8th and 9th. Going to race the 8th and dyno on the 9th. I'll post later with the date that I will for sure be going. This reminds me, I need to break out my DRs

wdsoccer: No, I haven't been to that site. That sounds like a great idea. I'd love to meet a few delta platform drivers. I saw a red ss/sc today near Kostoryz and SPID. Unfortunately, it was raining, and he stayed on the feeder road while i was stuck with getting on the freeway, so I didn't get to talk to him.
Red2.4: Which car were you planning on taking to the track? And I will certainly let you know as well when I'm heading that way. I'll probably be staying in Bulverde. I definitely want/need to hit up the track (I need to get some track practice in). It'd be cool to have quite a few of the central tx members there.

Well, I installed my traction bars today, and tested them out with the drag radials on. No slipe and NO wheel hop. I haven't done a track style launch, but have done some pretty hard launches. I must say that I'm very impressed so far with BWoody's work.
I also have my dyno date in San Antonio set up for this coming Wednesday (Aug. 8), and I'll be going to SAR that night. If any of y'all want to meet up there, let me know. I'll be going up Tuesday night with the friend I'm staying with, so I don't know about a carpool.
