well me and a buddy were out driving my 2.2 cobalt around a new empty subdivision that was going up, so of course we were going fast and whoosh hit a bump and off down the hill we went. anyways my dash then said power steering on it and wouldnt trun off. all the trip odometers and such were blank also. so i drove away parked the car, shut it off, started it back up and things were back to normal, any ideas? was this a bad thing?

What's a empty subdivision? You can actually get your car up the air by hitting a bump? How big is the bump and did u hit it with one wheel or what?

You're lucky your airbags didn't deploy....it it was a big enough shock to scramble your electrical system then it could have been worse.

As long as it doesn't happen again, I mean the electrical cutting out, I wouldn't worry about it....but if it does cut out...I'd take it to the dealer. You may have loosened a controller or something and it's just waiting to drop out at the next large bump...or dukes of hazard impersanation you do....

yeah i have done that b4 it is a great time taco bell trays last the longest....wendys trays melt really quick there is a video of that floating around some where, some kid in a silver sable does it on dry pavement smokes like a mofo :bow: by far the most fun thing to do in a FWD car

I haven't tried that yet....but I still love the old donuts in reverse....it's a hoot in the right parking lot. Most people think cause you have fwd that you can't do donuts...yes ya can...just in reverse.....it was even funnier when I did it in a mini van!!!
