07 cobalt ss/sc vs. 96 trans am v8

Both cars are stock.

From Dig (aka from a stop)
race1- http://videos.streetfire.net/video/7...72000c9515.htm
race2- http://videos.streetfire.net/video/a...720010e4a7.htm
race3- http://videos.streetfire.net/video/f...720012bc92.htm

From a 20mph Roll
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/b...72001d42eb.htm

From high Rolls 50mph and 60mph
race1- http://videos.streetfire.net/video/1...720016e480.htm
race2- http://videos.streetfire.net/video/9...72001abcdb.htm

Note: When we are passing the camera we are doing about 60mph. My sister's camera is on a very high resolution and captures every little millisecond. There for it seems as if we are not going as fast. If i used an older camera or one with not as high of a resolution or set her's down it would skip and as we are passing by the imagine would get a little distorted and almost be almost in clips instead of a high quality resolution video with nice megapixels.

Not to knowledgeable on Cobalts I guess they are not that good on the top end without mods of course.

good runs man! those high roll races were kind of dumb, but the other races were cool. those things got some great top end though once they start modding.

LOL @ the streetfire comments.

"Yall are idiots. That's not a real race. I don't hear that LT1 so he's obviously not in it very hard. And stock for stock, the Cobalt SS comes with 205hp and the Trans Am LT1 came with 285hp. There's not enough sludge to pull 70hp off that motor. It wouldn't run if there was that much sludge. He wasn't trying. "

End quote.

I love how people post with little to no knowledge about the vehicle they are talking trash about. "omfg it has 70 more horses, so it must be faster!!!!"

Classic.

Top end is actually not too bad, but 50mph is kind of a bad spot for us. From about 65 it may have been a bit closer. Yes, adding a couple things such as a CAI, and GM stg2 makes a night and day difference.

Not too sure of GM Stg1, but GM stg2 includes; 42lb injectors, step down in pulley size, GM smaller belt, and a flash tune to raise the rev limiter to 7K

these races just seemed kinda funny to me. yall looked like you werent even going that fast at all. whenever the trans am lets off, its loud as hell. but when he is on it, you cant even here it really. seemed more like yall were just rolling side by side, making it look like an interesting race.

either way, you say yall were racing for real so im gonna believe it. with that said, great runs!
just try to get better vids next time. i like to feel like im in the middle of it.

i was there for those races and they werent fake. both were going full throttle it just looks slow cuz they are only doin about 60 wen they pass by the camera. its not that long of a stretch but can def get the car up to about 80 until u have to hit the brakes

Actually, those races stock for stock look to be right on. A stock Cobalt should run right with a stock LT1 motor which is what's in that TA. It's not the newer TA with the LS1 nor is it a WS6, so I believe it.

No, these race's are not fake, nor are they setup. Legit races. If you want to blame someone or something you could say the driver or also the age on the car, but no we were both flooring it. If you read what i said above about my sister's camera you will understand why you think it's a slow race or whatever.

nod.. about right for a stock LT1

my roommate has a 94z and stock vs stock it looks pretty much identical to that with me always pulling the win..

now with my little upgrades it not really much of a race anymore.. i bumped up to stock ls1 range now.. ran a ws6 a few nights ago from rolls .. i always got the jump but it was dead even pulls up to 150 on both runs..
