Has anybody here tried to take the gm honed header and have it ported even more to give the header more cfm. Just curious if it would benifit..esp it being a gm part and if gm installed under warranty..they won't know that it has been enlarged more then it was at the dealer right?

 

no point in buying the honed header and trying to port it more.. just use the stock one..

 

my only reason for sayin that b.c. down time is an issue when its your daily driver..i have one 1 day off a week

 

If you want to go that route try to find a used stock one, it will be cheaper and you won't have to worry about down time. Also you should talk to a experienced shop that does this work to see if its really worth it over the GMPP one.

 

Going with a ZZP or others header does not void the warranty. To have the warranty voided they have to prove the part caused the failure

just buy the one I am selling it has already been ported and it would be cheaper than buying the gm one.
