Advice for tires 2.4L G5
I have 2.4L Pursuit and stock RIMs.
Still usign stock tires 205/50/17
I still want to use my stock rims but need tires bad
What do you recommend as i want to go with a wider tire then 205
what sizes can i go before i scrape the fender
ok so i was reading a few post and seen that 225/45 sould be fine
can some one confirm that they do not scrape with fender

A 225 45 and a 205 50 would likely read about the same. There are a number of tire calculators you can use on the web, the one at miata.net is actually pretty awesome.
It says at 225/45/17 you'll read 59.8 mph what should be 60 mph.. not a big deal.

Personally I will go to 225/45/17's when I have to upgrade - likely another set of all-seasons, and then I'm buying some 225/40/18's and some new wheels, likely Real Negaros, for next summer.
Edit - Your width actually ties slightly into your gap as well, not just the sidewall. Lots of SC's are running on 225's, you should be fine.
