Stupid wheel fitment question

I have my old set of rims with winter tires on them from my old Sunbird that I traded in for the Balt. Ideally I'd like to be able to use these tires on the Balt cause they're still good for at least one more winter. Problem is, I have no rims that fit the Balt that I can put these tires on. I tried asking around a few places but many are just confused by the fact that Cobalts have two different bolt patterns to begin with. Meh.

Anyway, the rims the tires are mounted on are 15"s, and the one place that actually had a clue what they were talking about says that a 15" rim would probably not fit because of the brakes. So can anyone confirm this? If I have to buy new rims as well as tires then I guess I'm stuck, but that's the expensive route, especially sine I have these tires sitting here doing nothing.

To answer your question... the wheels wont work on your cobalt unless you have the 5 lug balt.. and even then.. u would have to get them drilled out. the 5 lug balts have a 5x110 bold pattern... the old sunbirds were 5x100... If you have the 4 lug balt then it wont work (unless the sunbirds had different bolt patterns for different years... so u needto look up your year of sunbird and check the bolt pattern to be 100%) Check around for steelies your area. As far as the brakes issue i dont see a problem with that. Which model cobalt do you have... The base models come with 15 inch steelies on them

OK.. so it looks like a no go on the wheels then... ive heard, but not sure, that some 07 LS's have 5 lugs but i dont know the validity behind that.... but most likely your not going to be able to use those wheels

I don't want to use the rims I have right now. I know they don't fit. I was just wanting to get a straight answer on whether or not a 15" steel rim would fit around the brakes on an SS, or if it would be too small. It's looking like I'm gonna be stuck buying all new everything this winter...
