NEW PICS with my new D-SLR YEAAAA!!!!!!!!!
Well guys I finally bought myself a D-SLR camera (Nikon D40) and tonight was the first night I got a chance to take some pics with it. Bare in mind that I am REALLY new to D-SLR cameras and was basically just messing around with things tonight. I didnt mess with too many of the settings and was trying to get the feel of the camera. I think these pics are pretty promising as to what I will be able to do with it! The Blue 07 SS/SC is mine and the Black 07 SS/SC is bens aka BoostnO7.

i think the kit lens for the d40 is 67mm, check out this polarizer.

(make sure you buy circular, and not linear)

^^ AWESOME I was wondering about that (the glare) as I was taking the pics 2night!
^^ SO TRUE!! My camera was set on the medium setting for 2night. I was only using half of the mega pixels I could have. But I have said it before and I will say it a million times, mega pixels are not everything!
Mike
its not all about the camera, its what you do with it

yeah unless you intend on printing large copies, using them in big projects there is no reason to shoot in the large setting...
if internet posting is all you'll be doing then M is the way to go. Im glad you know how to resize pics too

Oh and for tuning your pics if you don't want to invest money in a photography application may I kindly reccomend you check out GIMP. It is a freeware utility with a lot of power for digital image manipulation.
