in AFR that is, my car puffs out black smoke i know its form being rich but what can i do.

 

Nothing that is what you want it must run rich do you have a a/f ratio gauge

 

mine does the same.. its all good black is good.. BLUE IS NOT... better to run rich then lean.. but i know ur goin through what i did .. thinkin like wtf this car is new its not suppose to do this.. but when u ply with boost.. u get a lil puff!!

 

rich is safer than lean, but you shouldn't be blowing out black smoke. Is this a recent thing? I would guess you got a bad batch of gas. the car wouldn't just go lean on its own, something would have to happen to cause an overly rich mixture. run the tank almost empty and try gas from another place. if you still have a problem take it to the dealership. I would guess you have a bad o2 or maybe a stuck injector.

 

I have S1 (GOING TO S2 COMING WEEK) cai, GMPP exhaust, NGK plugs, and its always done it it just makes your look like **** when its all nice andyou blow smoke like a ******* diesel.

 

My car throws rich codes... so none of you should be bitching!
