Looks good man. Also, I think you're the 1st purple SS I've seen on this site. Our color is a rare breed. Keep it up, rep the purple!

So up next is tint and SSC lowering springs, prolly going to be a few weeks, but its all good in the hood. This new intake is a beast, very very fond of the new sound. It turns heads and i often am asked if i am supercharged. (sucks that im not, for now)

I highly suggest getting this, if i get some time, ill see how movies look on my new cam, and record a lil something.

Also yea if you do a google for purple cobalt ss, i have only seen one other one, also i cant seem to find any other cobalt of any model in purple. The color is quite unique and i really dig it.

The color is actually not called purple. The technical color from GM is called "Majestic Amethyst Metallic".

I know where you can get a high-rise spoiler too if you're interested. I know they're hard to find in our color.

They only made them in the 2.2 and 2.4 models in 2006. No other year got that color, and they never put it on the S/C.

My only concert in rain water with this intake, there is a plastic plate under the bumper and between the filter and the wheel, but just wondering, anybody have any issues with this? just to put my mind at ease ?

I have CAI and my car's lowered. I never had problems so far, and I stay out of the right lane when it rains. Since you have the Injen, convert it to the SRI during the wet months.

guess i should buy a shitbox for like 2 or 3 grand in jan lol nothing better than a ford if your looking for a peice of ****. lol

forgive my ignorance, but what is CAI exactly ?

Must've been a special order, they didn't mass produce them in that color.

sweet, i can take more pix , i need to get some nice pix of my rizzo on this site. I always want to get some sound clips and a small how-to setup, cause there are a few little quirks with this that i should mention when i have time to sit and get things peiced together.

EDIT: ok cool i know what both of those are, just not familiar with the abbreviation.

is this a dryflow filter or not, still learning so please drop some knowledge on me

AEM makes the dryflow, not Injen

What is the difference / benifits ?

EDIT: ok i know the difference now, after a little light searching/reading, but as i can see its just a benifit that you dont have to clean it as often ?

Basically, when it's time to wash/clean your filter, you're supposed to re-oil it. But too much can get on the MAF (mass air flow) sensor and throw a CEL (check engine light). With the AEM, you don'thave to re-oil it.

BTW guys.. Majestic Amethyst Metallic is an OEM HHR color used on year one vehicles for 2006 model run as well. Decent color too! Didn't know they ever put it on the Cobys.
