Cold Air Intake benefits?

In simple terms, what exactly is the benefit of a new GMPP Cold Air Intake?
I have a 2007 Cobalt LT2 if it matters...

Thanks

I thought GMPP had the Short Ram Air Intake (SRI)???

Anyways, back to the question, better gas mileage, better sound, more power.

best thing about an intake is better throttle response. the car will pick up a lot better, both sooner and with more power. also, if you can keep your foot off the gas instead of listening to the sound (which sounds great at high rpm), it will save you gas. i got a k&n put in my car last week, and i've been using more gas cause the sound is really sweet.

intake is well worth it though.

If the only mod you do is the GMPP Intake then there are 2 simple benefits:

1. You get to HEAR the engine sucking air when accelerating briskly.

2. It looks pretty under the hood.

To get the most power out of your 2.2 start with the GMPP performance exhaust.

Thanks for the clarification. Appreciate it.

So basically GMPP Exhaust, THEN GMPP Intake.
Noted...Thanks!

By whichever first. If you only want the intake, buy the intake.

The exhaust cat back is most effective with a header/manifold to go with it. That'll also take care of your 'moo' at wide open throttle.

GMPP makes all three of these parts - intake, exhaust (actually two exhaust options), and an extruded manifold.

a full exhaust is the mod 1st mod on any car.

it frees up lots of hp and flow...

exhaust is #1 over cai/sri
