One of my neighbors came up to me and was saying that he wanted to race his Tiburon against my car. I looked at his car. He has a 2007 Tiburon SE 2.7 V6 with a 6 speed. According to the spec on it it's rated for 172Hp and he only has a CAI. Then his G/F shows up and says it is her car but she still wants to race me. I have an auto 2.2 with the mods listed in my sig. What do you guys think?

No, not unless you are a 5 speed. They are only slightly slower than the SS/NA.

Mmmmm. More than likely you'll be able to give us a good discription of what the Tibby's taillights look like.

There's always unknown factors, but on paper, odds are slightly in the Tibby's favor there.

I'm so gonna do it the next time I see him. Like I said it is his g/f's car and she will be driving it. Maybe she'll miss shift. ASLO I just put it a sweet set of racing pedals that glow. Probably good for an extra 15whp!

 

i have a 2.2 2 door 5 speed stock and raced my friends tibby all he has is a cat back and he took me. we did a rolling start from 35- 40, one time i even had a head start. Dont think you'll win.

(well, i KILLED a tibby in a lady's wrx impreza WAGON, and it was the first day/time i had ever driven a ****** manual lol, i switched into 2nd and was afraid to let the clutch go in time so i ended up reving up then switched into 2nd and took off, murdered him and isuck ass at shifting haha)

 

I have seen 2 stock tibbys run 15.2. The only way you win is if the guy sucks at driving!
