Just wondering... If everybody who came to the site, and only used the search button, and never attempted to start a conversation by form of a "noob" question, how would anybody make friends or utilize the website? Yes it's annoying to see the same types of questions asked in different ways, but this is a forum "a place where people gather and talk and ask questions" right? I'm sure all you guys with a thousands of posts started on this forum "asking" a question.

BTW: I hear the Injen CAI's for the 2.4 are pretty sweet.

Since no one else wanted to help you, I'll list all the exhausts and headers that are proportioned nicely for our cars and categorize them the best I can. As for intakes, you already chose the best one out for our cars IMO (K&N typhoon) so stick with that decision.

If I was at home I'd provide links and prices, but I'm on my sidekick which is a lot slower and can't pull up multiple pages at once, so ill just list the brands and stuff.

Cat-back exhausts. Both 2.25" and 2.5" cat-backs are appropriate for our cars. I highly reccomend 2.5" for the 2.4SS though, as I feel the 2.25" is more for the 2.2 'balts, but will still give you some decent gains on a 2.4. Stay away from the 3" systems unless you plan on running some form of forced induction (turbo/supercharger) in the near future as its overkill for our cars.

Anyways, here goes

2.25" oval muffler w/ large tip:

GM Performance Parts touring (quieter)
GM Performance Parts sport (louder)
Pacesetter
Stainless Works

2.25" canister:

DC Sports

2.5" oval muffler with big tip:

Magnaflow
Corsa Sport (louder)
Corsa Touring (quieter)
ARK DT-S
CA/XTC (no tip, you must buy a tip)

2.5" canister:

ARK N2 (what I have!!)
Tsudo
Megan Racing

2.75" (biggest I'd go w/o forced induction)

Hahn Racecraft

Now onto the header:

CA shorty (what I have!)
ZZP shorty header
ZZP mid length
DC Sports (collector is a bit small.....)
Pacesetter (weld on)
Clear Image shorty
Clear Image long tube
Weapon-R long tube 1 piece
Hahn Racecraft
SC Dyne

There's more headers that will fit but have huge collectors, so I choose not to list them.

Downpipes:

CA/XTC 2.5" w/ highflow cat
CA/XTC 2.5" de-cat
ZZP 2.5" 2/ highflow cat
ZZP 2.5" dec-cat
ZZP header for mid-length header (only fits w/ ZZP mid length header)
Clear Image header for long tube (only fits w/ Clear Image long tube)

That's all I can think of for the moment, if someone wants to add to my lists, feel free.

Hope this helps! Rep maybe?

I agree - and if everyone only used the Search feature and never started a new topic, the tech sections would eventually become stuffy archived libraries. Keeping topics fresh lets new ideas come to the surface and get posted.

How about the Injen intake system, that is a true CAI

Also, the Vibrant header, and Corsa Cat back are nice units.

i'd love to buy it but my anniversary is around the corner so money is set aside for that and as far for anyone buying it i think most of the 2.4 guys are going either the s/c or t/c route

I didn't list any intakes b/c there's a fantastic intake thread that GTurismo1 made and I helped contribute to. Lists all the intakes made for our cars (he was adding the Rebel Autoworkz CAI next time he came on), and listed any sound clips, videos and dyno charts/graphs he could dig up. So if you want intake info, I suggest you check out that thread. As for exhaust info, my list above is about as extensive as you can get. If you really need prices or where to buy on a particular model, then just PM me and ill be happy to help.

Yeah I personally say use Injen, it sounds nice, and it comes either both ways in one kit, SAI/CAI, not to mention if you do color schemes, you can get it colored as well, for no extra price. I recommond ceramic coating on header, instead of steel, which changes color, or high temp paint that wears off over time.

Some goods sites for all of this are as followed, its the places I and a few other people shop, with good turnout, Also if you have an automatic, get a B&M Shiftplus, to match wits with sticks.

www.mrzperformance.com
www.summitracing.com
www.turbotechracing.com
www.zzperformance.com
www.modernperformance.com
www.andysautosport.com
www.performancecenter.com

I will also suggest getting a AEM dryflow filter with whatever intake you go with, its an amazing product, and the oil ones clog up your o2 sensor.

as far as the 2.4 route I would never SC too little gain really on such a small engine, get more gain with a Turbo, how I look and gauge it all is SC v6+ turbo v6- + v8&+ just my opionon

Go with either Injen CAI or the new K&N SAI.
Those seem to be the most popular right now. I've got an AEM CAI and it suits me fine.
