a few things i did to the cobalt.

ok so a couple of people on here have been watching me do this little project and well its finished for now until i get my CAI. so here a few pics before, during and the finished project i hope you guys enjoy.

The before pic it was takin in the winter a few weeks after i got the car.

when i first started painting everything before i decided to do the full thing.

The engine cover with just the primer on it.

Engine cover with the first layer of blue

Engine cover after all the masking comes off.

A close up before clear coat

A close up of it being finished with the clear coat

Another shot of the finished project just a little farther away.

anyways hope you all enjoy them and these things just sparkle when the sun hits them.

i do like it, i would probably like it more if it was a darker blue, to go against that black thought. oh well good job

you shoulda just kept that cover off... its sole purpuse is to deaden the sounds of the engine..... lol with it off, you would hear the engine better

I think it looks sexy and when you see it in person he's done such a great job on the clear coating it looks high gloss and very slick.

I still say taping off the ECOTEC lettering would have really "popped" with the rest being blue but hey it looks slick either way ^_^

the reason i went with blue instead of red is my brother is doing the whole red and white and i didn't want it looking like his. and i'll be doing a bunch more like all the tubing and wiring will be converted to blue, but im kinda at a stand still until i get my CAI and some more cash.
