K&N intake question

I'm planning on replacing my AEM 2.2 CAI with the K&N 2.4 typhoon in the near future, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether or not it will fit w/ the Ingalls ETD installed? I've seen several pics of it installed, but the heatshield looks too close to call from a pic. Anyone running this intake with the ETD? If not, any advice on this?

I can take measurements of my installation, but I don't have a "ETD".

That'd be great! Try to measure the distance between the motor mount and the heatshield.

Btw, "ETD" is an abbreviation for "engine torque damper" if your wondering.

K&N to Motor Mount Measurement

The measured vertical distance between the K&N Typhoon Heat Shield and the right (passenger) side motor mount is 3/8ths of an inch. HS to plastic spark plug cover is 2 & 1/4 inches.... HS to air box mounting stud 1 & 1/4 inch.

If the motor mount or ETD is going to be too close to the HS, you could cut or grind the HS as its not critical...... just grind it until you have about 3/5ths clearance to avoid vibration noise from contact with the body or engine.

Thanks for the info! Could you get a nice top pic, and try to focus on the side of the heatshield closest to the passenger side motor mount. Thanks again. +rep
