To give you an idea...here's the shots I took of the plate light i make for neons...

if you guys show enough interest in the idea, i'll design it and then its up to Modern Performance if they will start a groupbuy for it.

As a reminder, no i wont these directly to members...i'm not a vendor on here, just a manufacturer looking for product interest levels.

After:

Lemme know what yall think.

ps: sorry for the blurry pics at the top...didnt have a tripod at the time

I'm up for it. I'll always prefer a nice bright set of LEDs over crappy stockers.

Based on some of your responses...i can tell who the more responsible drivers are hiding from the cops eh?

Haha. Anyway, for now this is just an interest thread, nothing is set in stone as I dont even know what the stock plate light setup looks like on the cobalt/ion/g5 yet.

The one i made for neons is a complete replacement, not just a bulb, as the one for you guys would also be a full replacement. It would replace the actual housing and light all together. The neon plate light has 48 bright white wide angle led's to evenly illuminate the license plate area just as a normal light bulb would do.....but much brighter and much whiter...

This is the way i see it... By having this really bright license plate light, combined with really bright tails, it makes your car stick out at night, making it more noticable to the cars around you........making your car stand out like that means people WILL KNOW you're there. Sounds stupid i know, but you have no idea how many times i've almost had my back end clipped by someone trying to marge into my lane........with me still in it!

yeah not quite.....What you bought was a drop in 921 bulb probably..........i've got some pics that would put those led bulbs to shame...but thats for another post all together.....

What I make isnt a drop in bulb.....its an entire array of led's. See pic below...

The Autolumination unit you purchased, in my professional experience, CAN NOT compare in any way shape or form to what I've created because they're 2 completely differant ends of the spectrum.

that's the neon/srt4 plate light..........see what i mean by its not just a dropin?

I'm going to have a member take some measurements so I can design it...seems there's a few of you that would be interested, so I'll design it, determine cost, and bring it up with MP to see if they will carry it or not.

For now, Renesis, since your the g5 that's currently on my screen, please contact me on AIM...teamnitehawk or SRT4Store, both will work. I'm going to need you to take measurements as well so that I can verify that they are teh same between the 3 cars...that is if you would be so kind to help

to each their own i guess. I have one on my car and i NEVER get hassled by cops...I also drive responsibly.

now lets not get into a "my car attracts cops" debate, my car looks plenty aggressive and isnt quiet by any means, so that negates that theory...

And actually, you're more likely to be pulled over for your plate being unreadable, than you are for it being very clear

No kidding. Can't even have clear covers on our license plates here, nonetheless tinted ones. I'd be down.
