Cool Just installed Nates 2.9

Ok, don't get me wrong, I love the pulley. It climbs boost a lot faster. But I am seeing no additional boost at all. It gets there faster, but shouldn't it also go about 1.5 lbs higher. I have a Stage 2 with Nates 2.9, Intake, Header, and some traction mods.....And I'm barely seeing 15 psi. I see right at 15 at the very top of third around 110 mph. I wouldn't think I would have to fight so hard to get it to 15. I HAVE STOCK DOWNPIPE AND STOCK EXHAUST. Is this whats holding me back???? Great pulley though, if its my stock exhaust or boost gauge flaw, the pulley still rocks. It is the best 59 dollars I have ever spent on a car modification. I def reccomend. THANX NATE.

P.S. Somebody help. Is it my exhaust that is keeping me from seeing a big difference, or just some fluke with the car???

You'll see less boost with an open exhaust. Sounds like belt slip

pull the belt off and check both sides of it. there will be a noticable scoring of the belt itself. did you make sure it was all the way on the a/c compressor down below? is the belt lined perfectly on all the pulleys?

no need. Mine went right on and your only talking about just under a 1/4" diamiter differance between the stage2 pulley and the 2.9. 200 thousands to be exact. So I found no need to change the tensioner

Im guessing its a good idea to upgrade your tensioner, I thought I heard the stocktensioner/stage 2belt is good up to 2.8 but I could be wrong. Im going for a custom kit soon so Im interested to see what everyone says.

With a stage 2 belt, you would not need a tensioner for a 2.9. The most common problem I have seen is that it can be tough lining up the belt with the AC pulley down below.

I deff notice a differance with my zzp 2.9 in the early morn and evening with less humidity and slightly cooler air. Was pulling to 17psi or so, but during the day time temps its still not wanting to go above 15psi. And by the looks of my tail pipe Im still running very rich. It is as black as coal. Next is the better intake and then a full exhaust. After which will be some gauges and then HP tuner software and do some tuning.

Don't forget traction mods, or you won't be able to put the HP to the ground.

I dont even see that. 15psi in the morning or evening yes, but during the day when I do most of my driving Im lucky to see it hit 15psi. The only mods I have now which came with the car when I bought it 2wk ago is, Stage2, Some ones CAI (no name on it) and the guy cut off the muffler and put a str8 pipe. The cold air has a soft 90deg elbow which is getting suck closed when it gets hot and under boost, so I know its not helping (had the same problem with my SRT4) and the exhaust (if you want to call it that) is just LOUD AS HELL, and offers no increase in performance. SO that is why I said what I said in my post above about all the mods that are on my list of things to do.
