1. what is wrong with the car?
2. they cannot void the warranty. they have to prove that ******* with the airbox screwed it up.
3. Take it somewhere else.

get on the calssifieds looks thru pages if you have too, buy it ASAP pay extra so the seller can do overnight shipping and hope for the best...wait why would it cost 500 for a stock intake?thats to much, when i needed a stock one i bought i off my friend w/a 2.4 and it fit my 2.2 perfectly, al for $20...is the ss/sc's intake that expensive??? and i thought thy couldnt void the warranty unless the mod caused the problem, if nothings wrong w/it than they should do that, i had a modded intake that made my car thow a CEL, i went to the dealer and they just cleared it, and let me be on my way, warranty intact and everything

Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C))

Lol they cant void his warranty for replacing wiper motor, and sunroof switch because of a hacked airbox, the airbox has no fault of either of the two, a dealer can only void it if they can prove the modified part caused the problem.

Yes, the air box caused his sunroof switch and wiper motor to fail. They're full of ****. They can't void his warranty. they can't void warranty for SEEING tha part. They have to prove it caused a problem, that is the only way they can void his warranty.

If the intake sucked up water and hydrolocked the engine then they could void the warranty...

but for a sunroof switch? They're just trying to make money off him. Take it to another dealer or have them prove the airbox is what caused his problems.

yo ryan get him to go to another dealer. they cant just void a warrenty with no proof. PERIOD. ive had a gm tech come up to me and say we can install stg 3 and the nitrious. but if the engine blows DUE TO THE STG 3 and NITRIOUS. the motor is out of warrenty, but if my radio or sunroof or something else went bad, he said yep no problem.

They can not prove that the air box cause a sunroof switch, complete BS! liek the others said, say good bye to that dealership, **** have that dealership call the district gm person and they will tell them your an idiot, fix it

even then only the engine would be void, everything inside and your powertrain would still be intact warrenty wise. they CANNOT void an entire warrenty due to a single problem. car warrentys are in parts, not just one big warrenty

thats what they are trying to tell me.

"oh well it could of sucked up water in all the rain that we have had the past few weeks"

its only been cut for a whole 2 days now.. hasnt rained since..

and correct me if im wrong.. the actual air filter would be dirty and ruined if water was sucked thru it.. right?

ive had it for a whole 3 weeks now... they are saying that theres misfires and valve float.... please.... ive honestly never heard of valve float on a stock car with less than 5000 miles...

Legally they have no power to void your warrenty. A wiper motor and sun roof have nothing to do with it. I would get my car and leave, go right to another dealership.
