Trade auto in for a stick. If you trade it you can get a good shifter. Just busting your *****. if you want a nice auto shifter knob get GM knob.

I really like the GM shifter that they offer. I have the gray leather w/red insert. They also offer it in blue and yellow.

Ok well what about the 5 speed shifter, is there an easy replacement for that one? It's terrible.

I think you have same shifter as 2.2 if you do a 00-05 Cavalier short throw shifter will fit. That's what I have. See pic in my gallery

Thanks bro. Actually I'm just looking for a better feeling/better looking shifter knob. The stock one is a bit rough on the hand at times and looks disgusting IMO.

The one you found should work.
Here's mine
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-05...spagenameZWDVW

They shipped it with the purple reverse lockout (not fuctional on our cars) I plan on getting a new boot so I can remove that.
Checkout my thread in 2.2

REIGNftSOLDIER ordered one for his SS/NA from the same Ebay member as me. Maybe he can tell you if he gets purple RLO. If you do get the purpe you can leave the lockout off. I would let him know you doen't want purple or get the one you posted.

I plan on getting
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-U...spagenameZWDVW
and
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RAZO-...spagenameZWDVW
and removing the RLO

OK so I guess I'm sticking with http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Caval...ayphotohosting
and
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-U...spagenameZWDVW
so I just email him or call or w/e and tell him to take out the RLO if it's purple?

It wasn't installed on mine when I got it but if it is all you have to do is knock a pin out and slide it off. I used it for an easy place to attach the boot.
