I'm usually off by 5 o' clock on Sunday. Kinda sucks, because it gets dark at like 6 o 'clock sharp. Would like to do that though. Maybe I'll get lucky and have Sunday off like I did the last two weeks. It would be nice to go at like 12:00 or sometime in the afternoon.

it's east of apachie junction....up in the mountains.

It's about 10 miles of switch backs and twisties around a lake. I forget which lake

My uncle told me it's pretty good, but nothing like the salt river canyon.
He did say that if you take it up and go to the back part of Globe it gets into some nasty twisties around some canyons though.

Well, we need a time/date for our little run...so I guess I'll toss one out. How about we meet up at 10:00am at a gas station in East Mesa Near the US 60(to keep the people that already live near there from having to drive West then double back). We'll wait there for 30 min or so to kick the shiznit for a bit and wait for any of the bums who couldn't wake up in time, or are getting off work a bit late. Then we'll head out on or little road trip.

There's a gas station on Southern/Val Vista that would be good to meet up at. It's 1/2 a mile North of the US 60 On Southern road. I'd say a good day would be this Sunday (11/6/05) but if we have too many conflicting scheduals then it obviously won't do.

Remember, this is in no way a set time/date. I'm just throwing out a time and place to work around, so let us know if you can fit this in or not.

globe = no no land. There are a TON of speed traps in globe and the cops will get you 1 foot after the speed sign if you are not careful. sorry globe locals but there is no arguing this one.

hmm walky talkies may be in order for fast access to anyone in the group (dialing numbers is too distracting) sound like an idea worth looking into?

Better meeting spot would be the Mobil Gas station just north of the 60 @ the Idaho off ramp then you take Idaho north and it becomes old Apache Trail wich leads to Canyon Lake and Tortilla Flat and yes the food is good

So why not drink less and wake up earlier?

We are talking about eating there, I'm assuming lunch was the intent.

That is a great idea, but I don't have any. Might get expensive also. They would have to be strong enough to travel from the leader to the end. I think they would have to be the same brand also.

I am in for sat or sun. Either or doesnt matter to me. Lets just meet somewhere just off the us60 on the east side of town. If no one will agree to a spot then we can just chase eachother down on the highway or something. As for noon 0' clock, that's a bit late. Gotta pay to play dude, which means you're gonna have to cut back on the booze so you can get up mang.

I think I may have an idea for picking a meeting spot...we'll be democratic about it and put it up for a vote. That should work right? But then again, maybe not. All the boneheads from Phx might not be able to figure out how to use the voting cards, causing the vote to be pushed back a few weeks and ultimately causing us to miss our run . Okay, voting is a horrible idea. We'll just meet at a gas station on Val Vista/US60.

they aren't expensive unless you buy some that have a huge range and we only need maybe a 2 mile range max for our purposes

you can get similar prices at like radio shak
