downsizing rims

guys i have an 07 sc, so you know what my rims look like and i am sure some people here have had these issues. man i love this car but it can not take a damn bump! i live in an area where pot holes pop up everywhere. i have already hit one so hard it compressed my tire down and actually dug into my rim. before you throw in the dumb ass go around it next time, it was raining tremendously and it was filled with water, could not even see it. not b s ing either, lol. anyway what i was thinking since i now have one rim with a little rash on it is time to switch to the black rims i have been wanting. i was thinking i would downsize the rim to a 17. for a few reasons, most importantly to give the tire a little more sidewall, and two for some reason an inch on the tire seems to make the price go up a butt load, lol. anyone downsized there ss's 18s to 17's? shoot me some pics, if you got them

well you most likely already know, but the SS/NA's have so you could look at any of our cars to see how much sidewall there is

dude were you just sitting there itching to correct someone, the lol i typed was to signify the only way i would trade for the stock 17s was if they were black, that being impossible means i would not trade for them. moving on. appreciate the offer but i really dotn want to trade rash for rash. i am just going to buy the 17s with new tires. i was just wondering if some people had done the same and had pics

sure i dont mind. i am doing it regardless, i really dont like the 18s, they are pretty pointless. i mean sure they look good, they just dont fit for me.
