well, a few weeks ago, i backed into a pole.




Got 'er fixed. Got my SLP grille installed.

Went to an impala meet.


Previous owner had hit something with bumper on front, shattered foglamp. I ordered two fogs, went to put them in.. realized he *bolted* one of teh fogs through the bumper. new cover was ordered, next day i had the pole mishap. had bumper painted / cleared when i had the other end of the body being fixed. didn't realize the aftermarket bumpers don't come with trim. couldn't get a 00-02 bumper anymore either in the shop's words.. , it was only 03+ they make now apparently! looks like ass but i'm going to try to find a 2000-20002 bumper sooner or later.

some shots from the other day..cleaned the interior, put in mats from a monte carlo ss since it's the same car on the floorpan, so exact fit.. took a few shots. figured i'd put em up here as well.







i am beginning to miss the side emblems now. Anyhow.. yea, that's been my car story for the last three months.

 

You should run on down to Autozone and get one of those SHINY new signs that says in huge letters "For Sale" Put that in your window and buy a Balt as soon as you can. :-) Nice car bro, GM keeps makin the hits!!!

i've liked these cars in this bodystyle since they came out on the w-platform when i was 11 when i first saw them.. finally got one. . loven every second of it.

admitedly one of the cleanest Impalas I have seen. I droive one before...you should put in some performance springs and shocks/struts/slightly wider, lower profile tires. I found the handling to be very boat like in stock form--this would make it alot more fun to drive.
