Question What now!?

I have the stage 2 kit, honed manifold, and gm exhaust.

I dont want to retune the car and I dont want a cai. What should I do now... I figured I was gonna get a stage 3 pulley. I want the car to stay reliable so what should I do now?!

Get a downpipe. BTW, why don't you want a CAI?

if your not going CAI, think about an AEM dryflow dropin filter.
you get nearly all the performance. and 85% of the sound increase, with none of the hassles of a CAI.

I keep reading lots of horror stories about cel's and hydrolock... In fact I hear horror stories about virtually every brand cai on here...so... I dont want it, it's only a small gain anyway...

That's a good idea! Does it filter well? Like is it crappy at filtering like the K&N?

Go with a 2.9 pulley, downpipe, dual pass and cobra H/E. A bit more boost + cooler intake temps = happy car.

Get a dryflow filter to get rid of any chance of messing up the MAF. Besides, you have a 2.0 which allows you to tune for any extra air coming in unlike us 2.2s at the moment. Lastly, you would have to drive through a deep puddle in order to hydrolock. Don't let the horror stories freak you out. If everyone just payed attention to the "Blown Engine" thread, no one would put on a smaller pulley either.

its not a specific part

you just need an AEM dryflow filter, 5 inch element, 3.25 inch inlet.

I might just have to go the downpipe/2.9" pulley, GM Manifold, dual pass, and Cobra H/E route...I like some of the benefits of GM Stage 3, but I don't need them all, especially nitrous. I literally have no use for it, whether in daily driving or autox. I just want reliable performance like the gentleman that started this thread.

My question is this: with these additional modifications, would I need bigger-than-stage-2 injectors? 60#? Or would that be too much for my application?

well, u can go stage 3, and use the computer it comes with to utilize 100 octane mode. If something breaks, the PCM is very easy to replace and it will take 3 min to put in the stage 2 pcm. Plus it comes with the s3 pulley and a dual pass upgrade, which wont void the warranty
