Nice to know that people who hit your car in a parking lot are not afraid of driving away to leave you with the mess to clean up. I cannot believe the cowardice of people who believe they have no responsability for their actions!!!!!!!

call the police, file a report, get a case number... could pay off, it did for me

 

same thing happened to me, luckily i was rear ended about a month later so it gets fixed for free!!

 

they have a camera in the parking lot. I went to the police in the area and they told me without a description of the vehicle that hit me I'm out of luck. I'm working on the video though.

 

Mine got hit in the back end at a stop sign. They guy tried to go around me and run until I got out of the car. Luckly for the both of us it was light enough to not cause any damage, not even a scuff mark.

Hopefully yours isn't that bad either. And as they said above, check to see if there is cameras, and get a case # and just might pay off for you.

Well, scratch what I just said. that sucks man...can you get anything from the plate?? even 3 or 4 numbers/letters can work. All an officer has to do is search their data base with those numbers and letters and it should pull up everybody that has a license plate with those numbers/letters in that same exact sequence. From there you can narror it down by finding out where they live and having a detective go to their house and check the vehicles for damage. (I know all of this seeing how I work for the Sheriffs office here in Fl.) Best of luck to you.

 

Either way.................My car was hit in a parking lot and I wasn't in it. So, it can't be my fault. Insurance will pay for it. This is my first claim ever and I've paid into insurance since I was 16 and I'm 37 now so they owe me!!!!!!! I just can't believe the cowardice of people who obviously know they hit my car. If I can find the car on the video they will pay........big time.

There is only one in and out of the lot and all cars are seen on the video so it's one of them. I'll keep you posted.

 

Could be worse, there was a Cobalt hit and run here in a neighboring county....

Guy was stopped at the curb to drop his wife off, let her out, she leaned back in to talk to him and some jackass comes barrelling down in a minivan, slams the back of the Cobalt, woman was thrown to the ground and later Life Flight'ed to the hospital, Cobalt was pushed about 100' down the street with the husband still in it and the ******** took off. Last I heard they'd caught him though.

 

What is wrong with people..........just own up to it!!!!

 

Too many people "wanted" or drunk or high or illegal. No one wants to fess up to their mistakes because most of the time they've got something to hide.
