You would not be able to run it in the position of the stock heat exchanger, I am mounting it in front and running it inline with the stocker. It will fit up front. When I recieve mine I will take pics of the install. Sorry, think I misread your question, not you will not have to take out the stocker.

There are multiple LFP H/E threads, i am in the process of talking with them now. I waiting on my heat exchanger to be made. The problem with buying a Cobra heat Exchanger is that the is no nipple on the top of the H/E if you decide to run option B with the dual pass endplate. I had the custom weld a 1/4" bung for this purpose. i am waiting to hear back from them. I will be making a custom set of mounting brackets and sending LFP and exact copy. They will be selling this kit as complete botl on. Any questions feel free to PM me.

I actually have mine installed. Its the dual pass HE. It will fit. Its longer then the CA one so it will be a tight fit. But it will fit.

Not on the LFP ONE but theres another thread that was made for this HE. Just search Heat exchanger and you should get everything about it come up.

the Cobra is pretty easy to install...

as far as making a "complete bolt on" kit... just don't make it cost eleventy-billion dollars and it'll be good.

Quick question, what kind of gains do you guys expect with a cobra H/E compared to a C/A H/E?

You won't get any hp gains just lower intake temps. I have had my cobra on for a few weeks now and the biggest pain is bleeding the air. It is a tight fit.

IDK why you need much better than a cobra in addition to the stock one. Mine doesn't even get warm to the touch when I'm @ the track. IDK, I think the better investment would be the dual pass. You really don't gain much from a H/E alone.

The cobra is small compared to the one i have from LFP and if mine fits then the Cobra is a easy to fit. Oh and i got the dual pass with the option b. So its very easy to bleed the air out.

Why would you hook up the Option B to the Cobra/LFP heat exchanger? It is designed to hook up to the stock, which is where you would want to hook it up since the stocker is higher up.

I was planning on getting some kind of H/E, like a cobra one or C/A, any differences besides the C/A saying "Cobalt Addiction". And I would probably need a dual pass plate right?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advice.
well, you don't need a dual pass plate to install a second H/E, but dual pass helps for cooling better and quicker.

Thanks, thats just stock black paint though w/ sunset reflecting.

Back on the topic though, I have dual pass, and I just installed a more efficient aftercooler pump, and it still doesn't feel like its enough. I'm getting IAT2s at about 40-50 degrees above ambient average carting around the city, and as low as 22 degrees above cruising on the highway. It feels like when i'm driving around it just doesn't drop fast enough, i'm thinking a second H/E is definitely a good idea. Our stock H/E is sandwiched next to the radiator and A/C condenser and just doesn't seem to get the airflow it needs.
