Why do you have a CEL? Did you go to Autozone and get it scanned? You don't need a tune to get rid of a CEL, you can buy handheld OBDII readers for like $60 that will give you the code being thrown and allow you to clear it yourself.

My guess would be it's a CEL related to your exhaust, in which case the dealer's going to charge you and/or probably tell you your emissions system warranty is now voided because you altered it.

I'd just try one of the handheld scanners or find someone with one, there's no need to tune the car just for a CEL unless you somehow screwed something up and you now have a sensor going haywire. If you go the tuning route, you're going to be paying a minimum of $100 for the credit to unlock your car + whatever the tuner wants to charge you for his or her time.

Hmmmmm, then in that case, yes, I would recommend paying the extra money and going the HPT route, it will probably run you about $150 to get someone to tune it.

If you have emissions inspections in your county, you will not pass with CELs, but you're also going to have to make sure that however they're fixed, the car will still be OK for inspection.

You've either got to find someone that has their own HPT and is willing to do it or call around to dyno shops until you can find one that uses HPT. If you go to a shop though, you're probably going to be paying a LOT more for the tune.

Honestly it's hard to tell. Did you change the cat at all? Hi-flo, gutted, catless?

You can always try swapping the downpipe out, reset the code and see what happens.
