the only real beef I've had my with 05 Cobalt is the radio sporadically screwing up (off and on) and the inner fender clip that popped off after I hit 18 inches of water going 75mph... it was exciting. Yay.

A local dealer has been ok about fixing it, but they are really bitching about replacing that radio. They keep telling me that I will get a used one and i am really pissed about it, but it will work ok.

Other than that, the car has 14,264 miles on it with nary a hiccup. I love this car. I actually am starting to like it more than my invincible blue 98 Cavalier.

They send the radios out to get fixed and I bet you will get a refurb. I mean I would rather have a working refurb than a messed up new one (well used now right).

Also I think it's a PITA to install a new radio cause they have to do all the anti theft stuff. It's quite a few pages in the service manual. I could be wrong I have never done it before.

My XM isn't working and XM is blaming the radio so I have to take mine in to get a new radio at some point.

one good thing is having family that works at the dealership... we were talking back and forth about upgrading (on the sly) to an MP3 player...
I wouldn't mind... I do regret not getting XM, though. I am in the car alot and radio around here blows goats.
