Question Lost blinker sounds when installed new head unit... can i get them back?

Ok guys so heres whats up with my 2007 Cobalt LT....

I ordered my deck, wiring harness, dash kit, etc from crutchfield..
Installed it according to the master sheet...
Once the install was done, my blinker sounds went away..

anyways, is there a way i can get the sounds back? can this be fixed at the dealer?

it might have something to do with your 07 having the GM LAN system. There is a $100+ special wiring harness you need for that year of cobalt. Thats just my guess about your issue. Also i heard that your door chimes and idiot messages that got displayed on the radio will no longer work because of the GM LAN system.

I havent experianced this because i have an 05 and GM didnt put the LAN on the 05 cobalts.

the gm lan 03 harness works with the LT cobalt installed mine yesterday and works perfect. it has the onstar option for the cars that use the same system that come with onstar. if u run all your speakers off a 4 channel amp you will loose the door chimes and turn signal chimes, but if u run the speaker off a deck with the harness they will work perfect for u

I know tha previous post was from Sep, and yes, I have searched for tha info I require, but was unable to find it. This is directed towards those who have installed a Gmos-lan-04 (or people with knowledge about wiring radios). I have purchased and installed tha lan04 with a dvd player. However, chimes are really low and when tha volume (or potientmeter(sp?) is turned up past a certain point, there is static and then all volume is lost. I thought it was a short or not grounded properly, but all wires are correctly connected, and none are touching. This is tha 2nd Lan04 harness I've bought. 1st had same problem with a Kenwood CD player (before I fried tha harness brain). Stock radio works perfectly fine, as well as tha dvd players lights, visual, etc. Tha Lan04 has an Ebrake connector which is supposed to let dvd movie start, this also doesn't work. Sorry this is long but I'm half asleep from a 14hr workshift and head'n to sleep now. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

I just came back from Sound of Tristate and tha Senior Installer said that tha Lan04 will not work properly in tha 07 balts UNLESS it has tha Pioneer sub system. Before I spend another $120 for tha Lan03, can anyone verify this? Or should I just rip out tha insides and hardwire it all?

For now, I bought tha Rapture LOCAL25 Line Output Converter to hook up my system.

So I have an avic d3 with the gmos lan04 harness. Everything has been good for about 3 months now, but today my blinker light stopped doing the ticking. When I turn my volume all the way down I can hear a faint clicking or tapping noise coming from my left tweeter. Any idea what the deal is with it? Is my blinker light fluid low

Metra offers a relay that will replace your turn signals with "an audiable clicking noise"

why would u spend over 100 dollars just to hear your blinker go tick tick tick... it happened in my car too when the headunit ,aftermarket, is installed, not really a big deal at all, and if u sell the car, obviously just put ur stock head unit back in, best bet
