Back from my meeting with GM in Detroit
Well I know it seems like for ever since we took our poll of "What do you want GM Performance to make for us?"
I spent Tuesday meeting with different engineers and the Performance team from GM talking about what we have experienced with our Cobalt’s, and what we would like to see in the future.
The day started early as we drove out to the GM Milford Proving Grounds. They showed me around the different departments that are responsible for the development of the car. We then walked out into a modern shop where there were engineers working on current vehicles working on refinements as well as working on future vehicle development.
I was able to talk to some of these engineers and discuss some of the modifications our members have made to their cars and some of the problems we have had.
Unfortunately I am unable to go into any detail about what I saw for the future as I was deprogrammed before I was able to leave. I will say that it was an honor to be able to spend a half day at the proving grounds and tests drive some of the vehicles they have there, the place is totally amazing. Once again I can’t tell you what I drove but I can say this: The future looks good!!!
And I am proud to be affiliated with GM.
The day was capped off with a meeting with the team leaders from GM Performance Division.
I put on a Power Point presentation that explained your wants and some of the problems we have with our cars.
All of these items were from the thread: “What do we want GM to make for us”.
We talked in depth about the top items that we wanted. Some of the items on our list already have been addressed and we will see some of the other items being fixed or addressed in the future.
Still other items will be looked at in more detail and they have agreed to contact me with any questions they have and I will be able to go to them with any future issues we have as well.
At this point I can not go into any details about future items because if I do I will lose the relationship I have with them.
I will post up any new items or fixes as they release them.

DAMN YOU!! Reading this is like being with a REALLY hot chick and she massages your downstairs through your pants, then says...We just met, I can't do anything else for you. I promise that when we do hook up, that it will be LOTS of fun though.
Thanks man, you are the man for sure. Good looking out for us, and for having great deals and products for our cars as well.

For the most part what I showed them was an excel spread sheet with the results of our survey on what everyone wanted them to do for us. I also showed them some slides of what the competition is selling and how that compared to what we wanted. The meeting was very well received and I will keep in contact with them and let everyone know as they release information to me.
I have faith in CED and if he said it looks good then it looks good but yeah thanks for the insite now for once a person who actually has talk with GM and got some answers so no more about the whole turbo 2009 or any threads like that casue it just goes to show you that nothing has been released and thanks to CED i have a better feeling about the future and our cars thanks CED +rep for the info
