BANNED!.. thats where...

for putting up a group buy and not knowing he wasnt ALLOWED!

no hes a friend of mine i met... he just told me what happened.. he put up a gb thread about some sway bars or something.. and got in **** for it, so he put a thread up about sway bars he had for sale..

 

what kind of group by? i love buying stuff in groups!!!!

 

this site is so sticky about that, NO other site is, i dont understand why they banned him, and i guess he has some people buying stuff form hima nd cant get ahold of them cuz no info

the group buy was for progress sway bars

 

becuase we have supporting vendors, they pay to advertise on this site, im sure if he wanted to pay css.net there would have been no problem... But with all tht said, i think a nice warning would have been sufficient

 

thats teh thing, he didnt get a warning, he was told not to do a GB so he didnt, and he came back today to find he was banned... FOR A MONTH!@

 

hmmm... well at least its only a month

 

a month is a long time to get banned for smoething escpecially that i could see if he was threatening people

 

thats what i thought too, a month seems like a long time, especially because hes never had a warning before..

 

i totally understand why they did it, they may have been harsh, but again, the advertisers PAY. they support the site and expect that no one else will jack up the forum with group buys ect.

dude i payed to this site and i still get infractions and i can still get banned, whether its a bigger amount or not i still contributed to the site and we(premiums) still are as volnurable as reg members, i dont get that

 

exactly, he was a premium member as well. he didnt get a warning, just told not to put gb up, so he didnt, he then decided just to buy a bunch of the sway bars himself and sell them.

 

Agreed. They've always been strict with those sort of rules.

But he posted the sway bars up for sale after the group buy thread was shut down, which is against site rules. It's not even a gray area, they put black and white in the site rules:

Buying and Selling – Private party sellers may offer to sell individual items. No person, company, or business of any size shell attempt to sell merchandise, products, or services of any retail nature, or to make a profit of any kind. Anyone attempting to sell multiple quantities of items or in a retail/profit nature without being a Supporting Vendor of this site will be in violation of this site's rules and Terms of Use.

 

well he didnt think that selling a couple extra bars he bought for the same price he bought them for would be against the ruls, apparently it was, but he was never told what he did

yea i will, hes just pissed, because he has sales ( NOT SWAYBAR) that he was in the middle of.

i think a one week ban wouldve been sufficient enough, along with a warning

i think from all the forum sites ive been on, nobody has had one good thing to say about these forums for this exact reason, the mods are uptight and there a lot of uptight posters..

 

so yesterday he sent two emails to the site administrator, as the reason he was banned is blank! and hasnt recieved anythign back in notification or explaination, they are quick to ban but not explain or reply to emails?

I don't understand what you guys don't understand about the forum rules. It spells out everything in detail about GB's and he broke the rules. It also is widly known that to do so will get you baned. Alleycat58 posted it all up on page 1 but I guess you all missed that huh?

I'm not trying to sound disckish but he really has noone but himself to blame for this one. Sorry.
