glad to see the ZR1 badge back. I wish it was NA--that has always been Chevys reciepr for big power. Only Fords need S/C to do that.

I don't understand what the big deal is Even if it does have 650 hp, who cares. Get a Z06 put a cam, set of long tubes, intake, and tune and you got 600 RWHP which is over 700 to the crank.

As a do-it yourself hot rodder , I totally agree with you . But for about 30K over a regular Z06 , at least you are getting some pretty significant stuff for 30K . A loss of about 100 lbs , better aerodynamics with the new splitters and spoiler , wider rear fenders than the wider than stock Z06 , The ceramic brakes look to be at least 15" , Carbon fiber roof and A-pillars plus all the stuff there not mentioning yet . You would probably be hard pressed to duplicate the caliber this car is gonna be as a whole with a stock Zo6 for less $$$$ than u can buy a ZR-1 new for .

Pulley swap , long tubes , off-road Xpipe , a lil tuning =YIKES

I'm hoping that they're going to do a bit more in styling mods than we did with the C4 ZR-1... That car was killed by a high price mixed with very little in noticeable styling. Hopefully, they'll mix all those ponies with some crazy mods.

A lot of the mags are claiming that the Z06 scares you when you're taking it around the track at racing speeds. But professional drivers that really can feel cars get CRAZY track times with them. I think they're great cars and now this ZR1 is going to be even better.

The Z/06's rear end tends to get a little loose in corners if your not carefull with the throttle.

That more or less have to do with spring rates and shock valveing , an issue Chevy did change on the late 2007's and all 08's . I think the upset rear in ceratin situations would be much less of a issue with a better tire than the supercars it currently has . I think next year all Vettes are gonna wearing Michelins ......FTW Plus with the addition the new steering box this year , looks like all they have to do is put a good seat in it them , lol .
