I'm very disapointed with the way my car pulls..very disapointed

Mods:
2.5 pulley...only making like 18 lbs of boost in the video
ZZP header
ZZP DP with high flow cat
Magnaflow 2.5 inch catback
Stock intake
No cooling mods
10.5-11.0 A/F ratio

It seems you got alot of air releasing from your car (exhaust mods) but none coming in (intake Mods)

just a thought...or swap the sc for a turbo lol

i cant believe ur running a 2.5" with no cooling mods

 

Tuned by me ....very safe tune 10.5-11.0 across the board...no knock....

What I think is killing me is:

1. No cooling mods
2. Overspinning blower....when I started the 3rd gear pull, it started to pull quite nicely and then it just died shortly after

My iat's at the start of the 2nd gear pull was 105....at the end of the 3rd gear pull, they were already up to 145 and it was a fairly cool night out tonight...I belive liek 65 or 60 dgerees

 

Squirt it and they will come!

 

Yeah, 2.5 pulley for like 20k miles and no cooling mods, but I never even get on it this much normally....I always do quick 20 mph bursts and thats about it....that's why I haven't blown anything up yet...and I don't really race it or race anyone

 

You've generated so much heat with that pulley you've probably lost a lot of hp. Do a dyno..

 

Once you hit certain IAT2's you car will start to yank out timing which mean loss of power! Get meth injection prolly the best bang for the buck cooling wise!

 

And overspinning the blower...

Fujita intake is on the way...reason why I don't have an intake is because I started to sell parts off my car....I was selling my car, but I have decided to keep it, so I just ordered the Fujita a couple days ago...PLUS I have a Devils own meth kit that i've had for like 5 months lol sitting in the trunk of my car....I better install that soon

 

Yeah, that would be a good idea... Then PM Area47 he can help with some of your questions about tuning with the meth/water injection!

 

I should be fine with the tuning...I have tuned my car on 100...WOW let me tell you, night and day difference..

 

DUH... Come out here, where you have to tune these cars on 91....

 

LOL I don't wanna tune other peoples cars....don't wanna take the blame if I somehow blow their cars up...I have tuned 1 person so far (bluecobaltss06) and gave missedmatchedfaces the turbo tune (I did nothing pretty much...although I did change the flow rate a tad bit right before he went for a dyno tune)...and I may be tuning my friends balt as well but thats it...I won't do someone that I don't know

Oh and by the way, bluecobaltss06 has a 3 inch pulley and 42's....he has beaten me from a 40 roll with my 2.5 pulley...but I also had a crumby tune in at the time

That's very true...If the meth and intake don't help out as much as I want it to, i'm considering going to a 2.8 with a 50 shot...I don't like nitrous but I really want to make some decent power out of this car without spending a crazy amount

Maybe i'm expecting too much of this car...most of my friends have crazy cars....My friend brought out his 9 second cobra tonight....and another had his 12 second flat fox body out....

Ahhh here she is...pic was taken tonight....runs 9.92 at 133 without the 40 shot...and runs 9.6 at 137 with a 40 shot...hehe my slowbalt doesn't deserve to be parked next to it

 

2.8 + nitrous > 2.5
imo.

 

dont worry the aftermarket will catch up in a while and youll be able to beat the foxbody. then in a few years your gonna catch the cobra

 

your car doesn't run right dude get some cooling mods and retune it your way to rich your leaving power to be had

man what you need to do is install a cold air in take and ditch the stock one
