Tire Pressure Question

Ok so track night for the staff of Lowes is coming up this Friday, on paper i have the second fastest car but the cars will be running with gimme a scare..

-turbo spec V
-350Z
-GTP
(about 6 or 7 other cars)

so anyway ive been practicing the driving and all and thinking of ways of improvement

i came across thinking about tire pressure and measured my tires both where at 32...

32? last i went to the track i lowered them and have not filled them so i was running on 32 psi

question is what pressure do you guys run at the track? 32 seems pretty high

I cut a 2.1 60 w/ about 18psi in the tires before I put my traction bars on with stock tires.

just remember, if you run too long on low pressure, you WILL cause sidewall damage, if you are having problems launching, lower them, other wise just leave them at 32

i run around 21-22psi. You dont want to go to low with street tires, but you do want that wall to be nice and soft. The stiffer the sidewall the less traction you are going to have. For example if you run an autox tire such as the falken azeni, expect to wheel hop your way through 2nd gear. If you run some pos street tire with a soft sidewall, you will cut better 60s on it.
