Steering and suspension updates done to my 07
Ok, I had these problems fixed via recall/ warranty:
The suspension made a thunk sound sometimes going over bumps.
The steering made a noise like a electronic whine then a clack noise turning right at low speeds.
The suspension was not the culprit, it was a motor and tranny module that is very close together and will make a that thunk noise.
The fix is done by them putting on an insulator to these modules, the sound is gone now.
The steering is odd, it is electronic assist, not hydraulic.
It has a computer program that runs it.
The stock program did not order the motor enough power at low speeds to help turn the wheel. The result is the straining sound then the clack noise. That noise no longer exists and I think it has been a problem for many who had their power steering shut down. The strain can burn out the motor prematurely.
The fix is done by reflashing the computer.
Now my car rides just like it should!
My alignment problem I had mentioned in another post was also fixed.
It was not the alignment at all.
The tires they issue on this car are ULRA CHEAP.
In fact I had them rotated at 6k and now at 12k and they said I should have rotated them at 9k!!! Unreal, I never heard of tires needing rotation at every oil change. That is how cheap the stock tires are.
When they rotated the tires today, the car no longer pulls left and is dead on.

Well it is a little over a week since I had the work done, and the steering is still fine, the reprogram worked.
Also the clunk noises from going over speed bumps are a lot less than it was.
I guess I caught this before it turned into a dead power steering motor.
